There's a 14 yr old kid playing in it.

from March Madness to the Masters....gotta love it!

Hard to think about golf when we just got a snowstorm here in Colo.

Rohirrim 04-09-2013 02:43 PM

Like always, I'm rooting for Fred Couples. Go Freddie!

Here are some pretty good bets in my opinion. These bets also require that Tiger or Rory don't get hot and lap the field.

Phil at 12 to 1 is great value.

Watson at 40 to 1 is great value. While he hasn't won he has played well this year and this is a lefty's course.

Nicolas Colsaerts 100 to 1 is a great steal. I'm going to throw 5 bucks on him. I doubt he wins since it is his first time playing Master's but he is too good to get that number.

Dufner 75 to 1

Darkhorse is Scott Piercy at 350 to 1. Course fits his game and he has the ability to go really loooooow!

Tombstone RJ 04-09-2013 03:35 PM

Keegan Bradley, book it Danno.

I think piercy is in tigers group. He's gonna have a huge gallery and sweaty palms.

Yeah, I agree, Phil is a great value bet. He's played the Masters 20 times and has won 3 times, but he's finished in the top 5 10 times. That's a top five finish 50% of his appearances. And of those 10 top 5 finishes, 7 have been in the last 10 years. That's 70% the last 10 years (that's frickin amazing). While it's really hard to guess who will win, it's a pretty safe bet that Phil will at least be in the mix, which is always a good way to bet.

Where do you place your bets at?

Vegas usually I don't mess around with online anymore. I used to use playersonly.com

Masters week is a favorite of mine every year for a couple of reasons; it's my favorite golf event of the year, and it means that the golf season in New England is upon us.

From the par 3 contest, to the inclusion of amateurs and past champions, the Masters really is "A tradition unlike any other".

I will be pulling for my boy Keegan who will be playing in his 2nd Masters. Keegan grew up in my home town, and I worked at the course in Vermont where his father was the head golf pro. I played a lot of golf with Keegan when he was a scrawny young kid (giving him 3 strokes a side), and it's pretty cool to see him where he is today having been a part of where he came from.

If Keegan doesn't pull it off (I like his chances, btw) I'll be hoping Rory pulls it off to take back the #1 ranking from Tiger.

I'm excited. I just love the masters.

Hoping Tiger takes #15.

McIlroy could run away with this tournament too. Course fits his game great and his ball flight.

TOP 10 - Fantasy Masters Game

It's a game we all can play. Here are the rules. Very simple. Pick the 10 players who you think will finish in the top 10 at the Masters this week. Here's the scoring.

* 5 points for any player who finishes in place 1-10
* 3 points for any player on your list that finishes in place 1-5
* 3 bonus points for picking the winner

So pick your top 10 (the order does not matter) and pick your winner

The most total points wins it all. So get your picks in before the first group tee's off tomorrow.

ZONA 04-10-2013 04:01 PM

This is my Top 10 and Winner

Phil Mickelson
Adam Scott
Rory Mcllroy
Tiger Woods
Brandt Snedeker
Matt Kuchar
Graeme McDowell
Angel Cabrera
Keegan Bradley
Jay Haas

Winner: Adam Scott

Can someone explain to me why there's no live coverage allowed until 3pm ET at the Masters??? That's beyond a ****ing joke whoever makes that decision.

Rohirrim 04-11-2013 12:51 PM

They've always been major stick-up-the-asses at Augusta.

I wish my front yard looked like the OP.

04-11-2013 01:04 PM

Pretty much all tourneys start before the live coverage.

Sergio Garcia is killin it. Wonder if he'll find a way to screw up a good start this weekend.

You only used to get back 9 on Sunday. I think the reason is because of masters website where you can watch it live from the beginning.

The British Open and US Open are covered basically all day cos I take days off to watch them.

As we said before the Master's isn't. Yes all three other majors you can watch all day. We are lucky that we get to see what we do with the Master's. You used to only get 3-4 hours of coverage even on Sunday. I am not 100 percent sure but I am pretty sure you get full day coverage on the weekends and it is on CBS.
