Happy Easter to all, even you pagans!

Happy Easter everyone. Don't forget how Jesus sacrificed himself for us! Make sure to not be selfish and only for yourself. If you don't believe then remember the Easter Bunny and he gives away lots of candy. LOL! Same message different way of putting it.

Easter is actually much older than what the Christians intend to commemorate.

Which is why i included Easter Bunny loving people who worship idols. Much of the reason religion and paganism mix is because when religion like Christianity was forming they wanted to do things to make it easier for pagans to come over. So Christmas, Easter, other religious holidays often incorporate pagan traditions and fall on similar times of yr.

Thats why I have a dream Baja to do a movie where the Krampus and Santa go back in time to kill baby Jesus. For some reason though people tell me thats offensive.

That dude needs to lighten up. :puff:

You know, the religion of the Sumerians lasted 4,500 years, right up until the time of Jesus. Much of the Old Testament is derived from that religion, so I guess in some ways, it still lives.

You think he's on to something about how Baal fits into the ceremonies of Easter?

cutthemdown 03-31-2013 12:51 PM

That dude does need to lighten up. Who cares that ancient customs sometimes mirror or make their way thousands of years down the road. Those people were not much different from us and we are all on the same rock hurtling through space. Its safe to say traditions will mix, religions will overlap, really good songs will sound like other songs, and even things that happened 1000's of yrs ago are still remembered today. Since when do we deny that? Hell know we watch history and discovery channel because we love **** like that.

Who cares if being a Christian makes you a better person then you should do it. If it isn't for you then find something else that makes you less selfish. If thats just your own moral code because you kick ass, then have at it.

Happy World Backup Day.

Make sure your data is backed up, so it can be resurrected later if necessary.

Yes, happy Ēostre to all!

Yet another instance of Xtianity ripping off a much older holiday for its own purposes.
