Have you ever bought a product because a Bronco endorsed it?

Examples would include Rod Smith (Blackjack Pizza), Mike Shanahan (Trice Jewelers), Dave Logan (Kuni Honda), Ed McCaffrey (McDonald's), Peyton Manning (Papa John's), John Elway (John Elway's Quarterback, John Elway Ford, Original Coors, Dove).

In the 1990s, I purchased EAS supplements because the Denver Broncos were using them. I ended up getting diarrhea a lot and my scrotum (a.k.a nutsack) shrunk so I quit using the products.

Looking at some of the food products Broncos have endorsed... if the Broncos actually regularly ate the food they endorsed they'd be the ****tiest team in the league. Though you could probably say that about any team.

I used that EAS stuff my last year of Legion Baseball. My nuts on the other hand are just fine.

Ed's Mile High Spicy Mustard was the ****.

brncs_fan 03-22-2013 07:17 PM

The only Bronco endorsed product I am interested in using is a cheerleader.

I bought the End Zone O's, but never opened up the box to try them. The mustard is still sealed too.

Shanahan never endorsed Trice Jewelers.

Ummm... I've eaten at Elway's. I guess that counts. I ate a lot ob Blackjack in college, but that was because it was cheap.

In fact, I've used just a voue all those products... for the product, not the player.

EAS is good stuff.

They signed Brady Quinn to a big endorsement deal out of college. Probably not the smartest idea.

Eddie Mac's mustard is great, nut then again, I just love spicy mustard.

Also a fan of Terrell Davis BBQ (Best in the Universe) Sauce.

OBF1 03-22-2013 08:16 PM

Easy Mac and cheese.... along with enzone o's and the mustard as well. Been to Elway's a number of times, even have an "Aquired" menu to prove it :)

you can still get Ed's mustard at King Soopers in Denver, as well as TD's bbq sauce which is actually pretty damn good.

RaiderH8r 03-22-2013 08:35 PM

Rahim Moore's rulers. **** always comes up short.

Never, but if Von Miller endorsed Frosted flakes that would be awesome, I would make it part of my daily routine.

Mogulseeker 03-22-2013 09:10 PM

Ohh, forgot about Mark Schlereth's Stinkin' Good Green Chili.... pretty good stuff.

You'd be surprised. I've lived with athletes, and been a fitness coordinator in the Navy... I remember people talking about it on ESPN a long time ago too about players bringing pizza, potato chips, etc. to team meetings.

When your job is to work out for 8 hours a day, you can consume 8,000 calories every day and you'd be just fine.

OBF1 03-22-2013 10:25 PM

I totally forgot about Ed's root beer, tasty stuff. Didn't they also have Ed's cream soda???

Yeah, you can consume calories when you burn them. But not all calories are created equal. Most people, athletes included, would benefit from consuming higher quality calories and burning them.

But besides that, not all pizza and hamburgers are created equal either. I mean, Blackjack and Papa Johns... that's some crap pizza. And there's pretty damn good pizza out there, unendorsed by our favorite athletes.

SonOfLe-loLang 03-22-2013 10:29 PM

Definitely bought John Elway's Quarterback. What a ****ty game.

Disagreed. This was before Madden, this was before Tecmo Bowl. What other options did we have back then?
