Heyward Bey and Huff released by Oakland

Huff could be an interesting acquisition.

Rohirrim 03-12-2013 05:57 PM

Let's sign Huff as a safety and kick Rahim The Scream to the curb.

Yeah let's sign a bust safety who was so bad he had to switch positions, to be our starting safety. Makes sense.

He'd be an upgrade to Moore, by far. He played CB last season, which is an upgrade position, due to injuries on the Raiders. He's improved every year in the league. How many safeties can switch over to CB and do a good job of it?

If I remember correctly, Huff played CB because Oakland had nothing at the position and he was one of their better players in coverage..

I would certainly not call that a bust..

He would be a huge upgrade over anybody else playing free safety on our current roster. If the money's right, it's a no-brainer.

huff and dhb will be lucky to be backups on any team desperate for help at DB and WR

03-12-2013 06:22 PM

Huff was a below average safety for years, then became and average corner. He has never been good, much less great, at any position, including safety. He's been close to getting cut for years, I can't believe it took this long to happen

Huff and DHB can play some but they were due big time money Oakland had to let them go. Id take Huff because he is versatile. I could see him going to a good team and doing well.

Any Safety who's fast and talented enough to step up and play corner because of personnel and depth issues says a lot about the player..

Huff is talented!

Rascal 03-12-2013 06:25 PM

Raiders are going to fantastically awful

03-12-2013 06:27 PM

Where is this Huff is average/below average stuff coming from..?

Rohirrim 03-12-2013 06:28 PM

You always have to wonder what effect playing on a **** team like the Raiders has on a player. Think what Huff has been through? The **** coaches. The drama. Al Davis dies. Jamarcus the Hutt. That team has been a train wreck for years. Bring him to a team without all the extraneous bull**** and you probably get a whole different player. He's always had the talent.

He did an amazing job last year. In his fourth game as a CB, he held Roddy White to six receptions for 72 yards, deflected four passes and intercepted another. I'd like to see Rahim the Dream try that.

spdirty 03-13-2013 08:29 PM

I'd be on board with Huff, so long as its a 1 or 2 year deal. Anything to get Rahim the Daydream out of the starting lineup, if not off the roster.

Mogulseeker 03-13-2013 08:37 PM

Can't understand the hate for Rahim... yeah he had a terrible play, but he was decent all year.

You would think the law of averages would assure the Faiders of striking gold with at least one of their first round picks. Apparantly the law of averages doesnt apply in Chokeland.
