Seymour

@JasonLaCanfora: The Falcons and Broncos are among the teams putting out feelers to Richard Seymour.

Mogulseeker 03-12-2013 03:50 PM

WTF... are we throwing offers to every FA and hoping a couple stick?

Anikai 03-12-2013 03:50 PM

Do it

yerner 03-12-2013 03:52 PM

i kind of like the idea of signing as many of these dudes as possible and going for it next year. worries me about the long term planning though.

Is that a bad thing to do?

Mogulseeker 03-12-2013 03:53 PM

Wait... Seymour was the Raider... I was thinking of the guy in NE - Wilfork.

Seymour - do not want. Would rather have Knighton long-term at a much lower salary.

Lestat 03-12-2013 03:54 PM

yes, fix the damn DL. sick of patchwork DT's. fix the damn problem!

Kaylore 03-12-2013 03:55 PM

It costs nothing to ask.

ZONA 03-12-2013 03:58 PM

If price was right - he'd be a nice pick up.

crush17 03-12-2013 04:00 PM

would absolutely LOVE this if it happened.

Bigdawg26 03-12-2013 04:00 PM

No give me Knighton!

Atwater His Ass 03-12-2013 04:16 PM

Seymour can still dominate. Would love to see him here.

I'm sure they either want both or Seymour is a contingency plan

barryr 03-12-2013 04:24 PM

Never hurts to ask at least. The Broncos DL needs upgrades on talent and that is the case regardless of what happens with Dumervil.

cutthemdown 03-12-2013 04:29 PM

Broncos just smart and a team all FA will hope are interested in them. So you will see Denver mentioned a lot now. Broncos will try and shore up some spots so they know what they need to look for in the draft. You should all be happy they are kicking a lot of tires.

Damn, Knighton plus Seymour, Vasquez and DRC would be an epic haul.

DBroncos4life 03-12-2013 04:34 PM

Denver would save a lot of time and effort if they just list the players they are not looking at.

SportinOne 03-13-2013 12:43 AM

While Wilfork is the superior player, Seymour is by no means a slouch. The guy can take over when he feels like it. Knighton? yeah great, and we signed Vickerson again which is also good. Finish the job and bring in Seymour and that defensive line is ****ing STOUT.

BroncoMan4ever 03-13-2013 01:34 AM

this is like a boner inspiring scenario. beefing up the lines is ****ing awesome.

cutthemdown 03-13-2013 01:50 AM

I wonder if Seymore has another big season left in him. Old DT that used to be good don't often work out in Denver but Seymore probably worth a look.

I'd love a 1 or 2 year contract, nothing more than that.

fontaine 03-13-2013 03:54 AM

Pass on Seymour, I'd rather have Matt Shaughnessy from the Raiders.

Broncoman13 03-13-2013 05:30 AM

Seymour is a great leader and one of the more respected players for that trait. I think he would be a similar signing to Brian Dawkins. His best days are behind him on the field, but he offers a lot more than just on-field production. Seymour has a higher floor than most of the players available... Lower ceiling too though.
