gyldenlove 03-10-2013 06:22 PM

I don't get why they would release him before Friday, his salary won't be guaranteed until Saturday so no reason to let him go before free agency has really kicked off.

Requiem 03-10-2013 06:23 PM

Good job, FO. Can't trade him can ya? Ya ****stain goon**** turd suckers. Why haven't you cut other ****ing players like Joe Mays, DJ Williams and other **** stain cumbuckets who don't contribute. You know **** you Elway!

He is over on IAOFM touting how Elway is getting rid of all the "losers" from the Shanahan era since he is banned here. Who would have thought?

mopatt24 03-10-2013 06:31 PM

Only update I've seen is this:
Elvis Dumervil - DL - Broncos
The Denver Post reports contract restructuring talks between the Broncos and RE Elvis Dumervil appear to have reached an impasse.
The exact same term -- "impasse" -- was used in Pittsburgh to describe James Harrison's negotiations before the Steelers cut him. Agent Marty Magid sent the Broncos a contract proposal on Friday, and the two sides have had "no communication" since. Denver may be preparing Dumervil's walking papers. "Elvis has been working out, he’s healthy, he feels great," Magid said. "He wants to stay with the Broncos. Right now, we’re waiting to hear back from them."

It would suck to lose Doom but I trust our coaches and our GM that they know what they are doing. Sometimes you lose good players because you signed them to a deal after the had huge sack seasons. Doom just not worth 12 million or even 10 million per yr IMO. He's not good enough against the run or at getting to the qb anymore for that. It will stink when some team we hate signs him though.

Sure wish they could work something out.

It's funny how mad you all get at Elway and the Broncos. 12 million too much for Doom. He's not that good. They have to do something about a cap number like that and if Doom won't be reasonable it puts Elway in a no win situation with only one solution. You cut him. Why because wasting money is not an option in business when it won't get you a superbowl win. Doom had his chance last playoffs and quite frankly vanished and got a couple offsides penalties. Doom has Broncos in a bad spot and probably wants to see if some team will pay him a ton of money.

So be it he stinks in physical run stopping situations anyways. Broncos improve vs the run with whoever the put out there.

03-10-2013 06:48 PM

First thing you do in the offseason of a Super Bowl run is release one of your cornerstones on defense? Not a good look.

Can't tell the fans it's a win now Super Bowl run mode after that. There's gonna be ALOT of angry broncos fans if this happens.

CSU Husker 03-10-2013 06:54 PM

Who will pile up sacks against our ****ty opponents and then jump offsides in big games?!?!?!?

Rascal 03-10-2013 06:54 PM

This is about cash flow, not cap hit. Which makes it even worse.

rbackfactory80 03-10-2013 06:55 PM

I like the move. Way too much cash for a 3rd down rusher (what he should be playing). I would rather 8 sacks and solid run stopping than 14 sacks all against teams that aren't any good. Not a fan of undersized lineman. His salary just makes it too hard to deal him.

SoCalBronco 03-10-2013 06:58 PM

Poor idea. Sack up for once in your life old man.

Stop being a ****ing hoarder.

 Denver will spend EVERY single Dollar they save from this move.

Archer81 03-10-2013 07:08 PM

Wonder who they have in mind to fill in for him. Its doubtful Wolfe is ready and there is no one else to put opposite Miller.

:Broncos:

Why the shock this was most likely outcome. Don't like it but, expected it.

Wait, Lonestar got the permaban? Please link the thread that did it. He/she was on iggy, but Id love to read the opus.

broncswin 03-10-2013 07:13 PM

Ya this blows...but wtf are we gonna do about it!! Just hope these f ing guys know what they're doing.

barryr 03-10-2013 07:13 PM

It is too bad, but Dumervil is highly overrated and the Broncos know it. He is not worth that kind of money, plain and simple.
