Love the Daniel Bryan references! haha. I'll pass on old, crazy Harrison.

We don't run a 3-4, so no thanks.

Pros: He's a highly experienced veteran, he's tough, and when he's on his game he can rush the passer and tackle quite well.

Cons: He's dirty, he's a loud mouth, he was released because he wasn't willing to restructure: so he's not going to be cheap, he doesn't fit our scheme, and he's somewhere in the neighborhood of 34 years old.

No, we should not even consider picking him up. But I could see either the Patriots or a fringe playoff team with lots of extra cash picking him up.

It's the same thing every year with players like this.. same with Steven Jackson. Once-Big-Name, opinionated, me first guys that command a lot of cash and are on the down side of their career that everyone goes crazy over in free agency because of name recognition. Not worth it.

Skip - would rather bring in Seymour

DBroncos4life 03-09-2013 01:23 PM

If you could get 16 games out of him you would be getting a deal.

Disappointed in the lack of caps lock use in this thread.

Won't happen and he will be suspended sometime next season for a dirty hit.

KipCorrington25 03-09-2013 01:34 PM

He reminds me of Marriman, no thanks.

TDmvp 03-09-2013 01:51 PM

Maybe if he was a younger , healthier , less douchetastic version of his current self , but at this time I would vote hell MFing no ...

Aftermath 03-10-2013 12:19 AM

Hate his guts

Friends of mine who are stiller fans are pretty upset. Tomlin doesnt know what he is doing, steelers are a horrible franchise, how can you cut the best player on the team. First world problems, man.

Since when is Steven Jackson an "opinionated, me first guy"?

Getting rid of a good veteran near the end of their career and not overpaying them while not taking the risk of someone who could be missing games because of injury (age) while watching the skill diminish. This has been the genius of the Patriots.

It has played out well for the Patriots for Ty Warren not so good for the Denver Broncos. Now go online and look at Harrison's production year to year and compare it to Ty Warren's production. Very similar pattern developing.

Fans don't have to manage the cap or measure value for dollars spent. If they would stand back and look at it from a value standpoint, they might have a different take. Emotionally, it is difficult to say goodbye to someone that has been a key player for your team. It is a business.

winstoncup bronco 03-10-2013 06:42 AM

**** him. He's a lousy POS human being. I'll never forget in a preseason game when he picked off Orton, Orton went to make a token effort to tackle, and instead of jumping over him to run in for a TD, Harrison lowered his body and dropped his full weight on Orton, clearly with the intent to inujure. Completely uncalled for, especially for a preseason game. I don't wish injury on anyone, but if there is karma in this world, he should be worried.

I think that's the ironclad that fought the Monitor in the Civil War. :puff:

He's not suited to our system. However, he's suited just fine to SDs and KCs so we can expect to be seeing the prick twice a year
