Utah's one of the states with a petition. On the radio station this morning they were asking what should the new name of the state be. I called in and said Idiots. Then they can say they are idiots. Also asked where these people were when Bush was decimating the country with lies. The announcer asked people as they called in. Most answers were "huh" or "I didn't know about it till he was out of office" or the infamous Dramallama line "where's the proof". They want to secede because their guy didn't win and the country's going to hell in a handbag. Well guys, I'd look in the mirror for the reason why.

Both these petitions are dumb. But on one hand I can see the frustration. The entire federal government is a complete mess right now. Individual freedom is what's going to hell in a hand basket right now. Very tempting to get rid of these fools and start over with the constitution.

Don't mind them, it's the jealousy that fuels their anger/hatred. I've lived in 3 different states and I'm currently working on moving back to Texas ASAP. Everywhere else does indeed suck.

Texas is better than Antarctica, most of Africa, most of Europe, most of Mexico, and huge parts of South America but as a state in the contiguous United States connected with the deep south and invested with New York, Los Angles, and the refugees of Katrina I would have to say that overall Texas does suck....but it's all relative! :)

I've been to Texas three times. Each time was worse than the time before. Rudest, most obnoxious people I ever ran into. Don't even ask me about sharing ski lifts with Texans. I even considered jumping off. Worse than Marines, and that's saying something.

It all stems back to the cowboys kicking Denver ass in the first Super Bowl.

They get tired of rich folk spending money in their state as tourists, as skiers.

There are many reasons that those in Colorado hate Texans. Mostly jealousy..

While Colorado is the state I was born and lived a good portion of my life. I have to admit if I had a chance to move back to the front range there is not enough money to get me to do it.

I once wanted to, but the urban sprawl, pollution and number of of Californians that have left to move to Colorado, have made my move to West Texas easier to bear. Plus we have no State income tax. Bet Y'all can't say that.

I am calling out all those Internet cowboys who think words have no consequences and see where they stand. Nobody in government will support the secession or penalize the cowards who dominate the Internet with lies, talk and slander.
