Football stuff and one other thing

If you love how PM is calm and collected in the pocket check this out!

http://www.firstmenonthemoon.com/

You get the entire loop of the Apollo 11 landing with Avatars so you can follow who is talking on the loops!

It sure would be cool to see some plays broken down this way with McCoy talking over PM's head set.

The site also shows the pitch angle of the lander!

I hope we are 6-3 when SD comes to Denver, we could have a 2 game or more lead in the division after beating them at home. We could put SD on a downward trajectory if we landed a win on them at home.

Speaking of beating did you notice Neil's heart beat on the Web site above?

I like the alignments that McCoy uses.

You can even see where the MOCR consoles are when they talk! What a great idea, I am in heaven!

Please mods just one day on the main page!!! There is a bunch of football related info in the thread! Pretty Please?

I am mesermized by the loops!

Check out Gene laughing at Steve Bales at the Go No Go mark!

Plus notice how Neil's heart rate drops from 150 down to 130 after they land and go throught he stay no stay procedures.

Love how you get watch out of the window of the LEM in sync with the loops!

Looks faked...

Neil would have 2k in our system.

I am bummed because Dr. Harrison Schmidt is signing at the Alder Planetarium on Wednesday and I can't get over there to meet him. Wanted to take my 5 year old but he would be a handful in line anyway...

It was the heart rate monitor that really had me mesmerized.

I was 6 1/2 that July and actually do have vague memories of the televised broadcast. I had outgrown my Major Matt Mason, but had the astronaut suit for my GI Joe.

Nothing will recapture those days. Thanks for this, Steven. Incredible.

Wow, this brings back some GREAT memories - 10 years old and parked in front of my Dad's B&W TV watching history unfold. This is teamwork at it's VERY best...

Think I mentioned in another thread that my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Kranz and Apollo 13 commander Jim Lovell back in 2001. It was a very special moment for us as I was always a space geek, and her Father worked for NASA.

Glad this hung around this long - it would have been a shame to miss this, and now I have it bookmarked. Ill be watching more than once...

I am in awe of what it took to pull off the moon missions.

I respect the astronauts a lot for putting their lives on the line but this site just shows a glimpse of all the people involved at Houston and across the country who got them there safely and returned them back to Earth.

I would love to see an Apollo 13 version of this also.

Glad you got to see it! Thanks to Taco and the Mods! Plus I think we are going to beat down Carolina on the road and stuff!

I am also green with Gene envy!
