Patriots trade for Aqib Talib

Per NFL.com

Pretty solid pickup for them. Talib has enormous talent, but couldn't stay out of trouble.

Badly needed, our corners are horrible.

Hopefully the off the field problems go away like most do when they come to NE.

Hmmm Cheating player using banned substances goes to a team known to cheat in the past.

Match made in the depths of HELL.

UberBroncoMan 11-01-2012 01:34 PM

He's in the final year of his deal at least.

11-01-2012 01:44 PM

According to Bucs fans, he hasnt been to nice in coverage before his suspension. The Pats secondary must be awful. How long will it be before he sees the field. Theyre definitely in win now mode.

TheReverend 11-01-2012 01:47 PM

Well this sucks for the rest of the AFC...

DBroncos4life 11-01-2012 01:50 PM

The Pats were just one more cancer player in the locker room away from winning the SB!!!

He's hardly a game changer... makes a bad secondary slightly better. Don't think it'll matter much one way or the other.

A talented player in a contract year is almost always a good recipe. This could REALLY help the Pats IMO. He's significantly better than anyone currently playing the position in NE, unless McCourty all of a sudden plays like he did his rookie year. That's unlikely.

Agree with this

Hey we agree!

Hamrob 11-01-2012 06:05 PM

Good player. A 4th to belicheat is like nothing....he'll just trade back a couple spots and bick up an extra 2nd!

yerner 11-01-2012 06:26 PM

I hope this guy rapes Mcdaniels in the showers.

Yeah, but this guy is so retarded he managed to get suspended in his contract year and shipped to another team for peanuts.

It's a low risk/high reward move for NE, which sucks, but the odds of Talib ever sufficiently using his talents are very, very slim at this point.

doonwise 11-01-2012 08:14 PM

Hopefully he's a locker room cancer.

So Aqib must sit against the Bills in week 10. They can't have any contact with him till November 12 according to the Boston Globe. Also McCourty moves to Saftey. Has he been playing that already this year or is this a new move for Aqib?

fontaine 11-03-2012 02:52 PM

What?

Alphonso Smith wasn't available?

F=u=c=k you McDaniels.

I do not understand how most folks do not appreciate great franchises.. Teams, players and coaching..

If I'm going to get to the Superbowl I want to play the best to get there.. If not it will be repeats of Johns first three times and a lot like the 77 SB.. going in and getting our asses kicked because the conference was weak..

Yeah I know that sounds defeatist but if we can not beat the best legitimately then no use in going.. The NFC has a few super teams with great players..

I don't care who we face to get there. If there's a choice between facing lower seeds and getting there and facing higher seeds and losing, I'll take the lower seeds every day of the week. They don't put an asterisk next to your lombardi if you don't face the #1 or #2 seeds.

Was SB 33 tainted for you because we didn't face Minnesota?
