Official Iron Man 3 Trailer

Since we still seem to be in "bye week mode", I felt this needed to be circulated:

Can't he get Captain America and Thor to help?

I hate first trailers to big movies. They give you just enough to make you want so much more.

Seems to me that the Hulk could clear up that mess within the first 30 minutes of the film. Tony Stark needs to make better use of his social network, for sure.

Cleaning messes is kind of the opposite of what Hulk exceeds at

I thought the Hulk was working in his lab? Or are they acting as if the avengers movie didn't count

This one takes place shortly after the Avengers. Tony's having nightmares in this one related to the final battle and his almost dying in the Avengers.

Shouldn't the Hulk be in this one then?

I heard on the light rail that the rest of the Avengers are vacationing on Thor's planet when this movie takes place.

I have no idea what the real explanation will be, but there's obviously got to be some reason why none of them appear to help him in this one.

Kaylore 10-23-2012 02:11 PM

There probably won't be as many other super heroes because they are saving them for Avengers 2. They each go on side quests; Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Then Avengers 2.

Can't wait!!

that looks like it's going to be sick. i hope it lives up to the hype.
the Iron Man and Dark Knight series really put super hero movies back into the public consciousness and showed that you can make a really good movie with super heroes mixed in.

I did not think Iron Man 2 was that good. The Avengers was kind of cartoonish as well. I do like the Batman series though.

once you start blending the super natural aspects of any comic into movie form it tends to be a bit cartoonish. but thought that both movies were very well done and moved the series into the next phase.

it's going to be the same when they do the Justice League movie. Batman as a stand alone is mostly depicted as facing somewhat believable villains.
but once you start adding in the other Justice League characters the more supernatural and cartoonish aspects will come into play.

Well, they need to try to stay away from cartoonish. The monster from outserspace in the Avengers were lame. They were nothing but machines. Reminded me of the Star Wars movies atttack of the clones. Need to make the movies darker, like Batman and even Captain America had darkness to it.

I'm not saying I did not like the Avengers or Iron Man 2. I just think they could have been alot better.

i don't think they were lame. they tried to mesh realism along with sci fi to get the best mixture without going to an extreme on either side of the spectrum.
the most important thing will be how they depict Thanos in the next one.

Comics are like cartoons. This is idiotic saying it should stem away from being cartoonish.
Movies and heck video games/etc are away to escape from the realm of reality.

BowlenBall 10-23-2012 09:22 PM

Wonder if that's the actual costume Ben Kingsley's gonna wear....

I'm puzzled as to why this is an issue. It's a big world and the rest of them have their own issues to deal with. That's been the line of thinking with super heroes who belong to teams since the idea first came about.

People never ask why Batman doesn't just call Superman to help him even though they are both in the Justice League.

Spoken like someone with neither an appreciation nor an understanding of the source material.
