Fire Razes North Dakota Town

Thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost their home. Small town less than 10 miles down the road from my home town. Sad to see things like this happen. Nice to see people pull together in times like this. Back when i was in HS, I knew a guy that lived there. We'd go there and party...crazy that the whole town has been practically wiped off the map. At least a few homes and the Church weren't destroyed. Its not often that disaster etc hits this close to home.

That's pretty awful, but technically 27 residents is not enough to qualify as a town.

Bummer, ditto on thoughts and prayers, we've been there.

In North Dakota it does. Hell, Bismarck only has a population of 53 - and that's counting the livestock.

Do they get govt funds for the rebuild? What happens in these scenarios?

Yea it does. There is another town south of my hometown that only has like 10 residence. Either way, it's 27 people that don't have a place to call home. Everything they owned including their vehicles were burned to the ground.
