Beano was a real character and will be missed.

However, this failed prediction always cracks me up:

Beno was fun to watch and will be missed but I used to watch the Chicago show "Sports Writers on TV" and was sad to hear of the passing of Bill Jaus today.

http://www.morrisdailyherald.com/201...riter/a2fni75/

You should check out the show on Youtube, a bunch of old guys, Bill Gleeson, Rick Telendaer (SP?) Jaus, Lester Munson, and a couple other guys would rotate in all sitting around with newspapers strewn all over the floor smoking cigars and talking sports.

It was like sitting in a room with Damon Runyon and writers from the 20's.

Sad to see these old timers leaving us.
