McGahee's performance Completely forgivable

A Mile-high salute to you, Mr. McGahee.

McDman 10-08-2012 01:05 PM

He's been our best RB since CP but he does fumble at inopportune times.

Felt bad for him. The dropped pass bothers me more than the fumble, but certainly both were gigantic gut-punches.

Both together are why I'm so upset. You'd think after dropping the fourth down pass he'd think "Redeemed! I have another chance!" Then he craps the bed again. He was a big reason we lost yesterday. Period.

5 star thread... Who needs a win, anyway?

ZONA 10-08-2012 01:19 PM

He's been solid this year. Some mistakes he needs to clean up for sure but when I watch the games, he's getting all the yards that are there to be had and then some with nice physical running after contact. 2 reasons why you would want to search for a new back.

1) when you see lanes there in tape and the runner can't find them and doesn't have good feel on timing and how to use blocking (see Lance Ball).

2) Mistakes - a consistent display of mistakes. If they don't make the right call on blitz pick up, turning the ball over, dropping passes.

I'd say we have no problem with #1. I don't think anybody could argue McGahee has great vision and feel for running. He's had some mistakes as far as fumbles. Some bad timing on some of them and he certainly can clean that area up. I haven't seen him drop too many passes this year so I don't think that's an issue. I think people are just over reacting to that dropped pass in last game.

noone worth replacing him with. so ya he gets a pass for now.

same as Mays.

Dude, thats crazy talk. The man is a bad-ass. He had a bad game thats all. Geezusssss.

baja 10-08-2012 01:35 PM

Willis was McDs best singing hands down.

cmhargrove 10-08-2012 01:37 PM

I'll give him this, the dude's got balls.

Willis McGahee made two crucial errors late in the game on Sunday, when the Denver Broncos lost to the New England Patriots, 31-21.

McGahee, to his credit, is owning up to the mistakes. McGahee took to Twitter after the game to tell the world that he "messed the game up."

Man enough to admit I messed The game up... Put it on my shoulders I can handle it.

It's a great team mate that will take the blame instead of dishing it out (he's kind of an anti-Cutler). The interesting thing will be to see if he makes up for his mistakes. First, fix the problem. Second, you owe us one. How about you beat the **** out of the Chargers and we'll call it even?

ooof I don't think these two are comparable. Without Willis we have no chance in this game. He made some mistakes at inopportune times, but if you start his replacement then we have no running game whatsoever. Mays is hot garbage, when everyone here is ready for Mr. DUI to come back to the team you know you have a piss poor player.

Play2win 10-08-2012 01:57 PM

I still can't believe this guy came from the u. A man among boys in so many ways. Hemmingway would be proud.

I felt like pulling a Hemingway when I saw him fumble.

19 lost fumbles on 1873 carries.. about once every 100 carries..

not sure what the average is but that looks acceptable to me..

go_broncos 10-08-2012 02:00 PM

ANOTHER MCD'S blunder..this guy screwed the broncos..
