I made a bet. Am I going to win?

So some haters bet me tonight that OJ had no chance at making the pro bowl. I bet $40 he would. I also bet another $20 he would catch 12 touchdowns. What do you think?

I am very drunk.

rolandftw 10-10-2013 10:43 PM

I could see him get 12 TD's. Going to be hard to make the Pro Bowl, but guess it is possible

extralife 10-10-2013 10:51 PM

mcdman is drunk every night

Kaylore 10-10-2013 10:53 PM

Gates gets a lot of default votes. Then there's Jordan Cameron. It'll be tough.

Taco John 10-10-2013 10:55 PM

I personally think he's got a shot. He's looking very dominant out there. He's tied for the league lead in touchdowns for tight ends (he and Jimmy Graham have 6). The next closest in the AFC is Jordan Cameron with 5 in Cleveland. I'm not sure who he thinks in the AFC is going to make their move given the pace that OJ is on.

DENVERDUI55 10-10-2013 10:58 PM

Well Gronk, Gates as Kaylore mentioned get default votes. Cameron is definately a probowler this year. Normally it seems like a guy gets the probowl a year after he should of originally got it. I think it will be hard but it won't be impossible.

BroncoMan4ever 10-10-2013 11:01 PM

I think he will be deserving of a pro bowl berth and could come close to 12 TDs, but the Denver bias will keep him from getting the necessary votes. Look at Woodyard last season.

Mogulseeker 10-10-2013 11:11 PM

12 TD's is a lot and. He should accomplish it... and that should be enough to get him in the Pro Bowl. But it wont.

The Joker 10-11-2013 01:17 AM

I am also very drunk.

He'll get 12 TD 's, but no pro bowl.

-$20

I think it's time people stop playing this card.

The probowl rosters are chosen by Jerry Rice and Dieon Sanders. People should stop talking about votes or there being any kind of predictor here.

They likely will...when there is some evidence to the contrary

Shananahan 10-11-2013 05:35 AM

It just sounds so whiny, though.

Playing it at a time when every major sports outlet is tripping over themselves to fellate the Broncos doesn't make any sense to me.

In this one, he does one but not both.

bfoflcommish 10-11-2013 07:43 AM

past trauma...I mean last year the Chiefs had more probowlers as a 2-14 teams than Denver did at 13-3. It can be a tough pill to swallow sometimes. This year MAY be different....but it is taking a historic offensive performance to do it. Denver literally has to play better than any offense ever to get this kind of press.

Steve Prefontaine 10-11-2013 08:05 AM

Remember when you couldn't make a Julius Thomas post (not that long ago) without someone mocking him? Now we are talking Pro Bowl. It's been a great year so far.

If Thomas doesn't make the Pro Bowl, it's because of tough competition, not his performance. Gates and Cameron are having very good campaigns so far, plus Gates will get a lot of votes based on his name. It might be close between Thomas and Cameron.

Yeah, that Missouri media bias strikes again. If you ain't a household name in Joplin or Plattsburg, you may as well forget about making it to Hawaii.

I never said anything about a geographical bias

MplsBronco 10-11-2013 08:17 AM

Picking OJ in the 14th round (and starting him week 1) and Knowshon in the 15th of my fantasy draft have me looking like a genius to my buddies here in Minnesota!

It is true though. Sure Peyton gets a ****load of media exposure. Welkee, Champ and Von are well known players. Decker is known because he is the prettiest guy in the league, but beyond these guys to the media outside of Denver are just random players. Woodyard last year was one of the best actual LB in football and had a truly great season, but got no notice for it. Will be the same for JT

Jetmeck 10-11-2013 11:20 AM

Likely have a record number of pro bowlers this year but I want a SB

See bold drunk!

Also, when MNF is on, McDman get his drink on. If sports is on Tuesday (hockey or basketball or reruns of bull riding, golf or competitive darts), he pounds a few on those occasions too.

But no, he doesn't get drunk every night.
