Could it be worse? But, No this goes way past Tebow at this time. Maybe Orton can take Knowgain's place and get something going in the backfield.

Was the goal to actually win the game? Then yes.

Still watching?

Orton lost this game two or three times. Defense and ST are all that made this close.

Pretty sure the goal is to save money...

The Raiders penalties made it seem like a non-blowout. But it had all the makings of one with Orton in full force.

The Raiders tried their best to lose that game. Orton tried harder.

It's not that you ask your QB to do the impossible, but Orton seems to find a way of achieving just that when it matters most. Time to get on with your life's work.

Plus Side:
Eric Decker.

Negative Side:
Orton
Run defense
Penalties galore

All I have to say is would Tebow really have been that much worse? Not like Kyle Orton did anything. Hey, a touchdown drive late in the 4th. Finally.

Red zone offense still blows with Orton.

I don't have the slightest doubt that Tebow would have put more points on the board tonight.

Yep. I think Tebow could have at least hanged 14 on the Raiders.

I honestly think Tebow gives Denver a better chance to win. I thought this last year, too, where I could only think of a single game Orton had any significant positive impact (Tennessee).

Oh well! At least Orton and Lloyd have the camaraderie to deliver the stats.

Tim should have, at least, been running place on 1st and goal from the 5. Did they not watch our successful game tape last year? It wasnt a very long tape.

Building on success does not net you the #1 draft pick overall like the esteemed John Fox just delivered to Carolina.

I really think we are going to see McDaniels Jr. with Tebow and the goalline stance. Fox is old school and maybe he sees it as too gimmicky and crushes the hope of the starting QB when he should look at the failure of our redzone offense and the improvement Tebow brings when he is in there on those plays. Gimmick or not, I want 7 points, not 3.

Or zero points when the magic air monster knocks the ball out of Orton's hand.

I think the more relevant question is:

Did Orton give us anything on the field that Tebow couldn't??

I don't see it.

1. Locking onto Lloyd
2. Individual mistakes
3. Multiple turnovers that can't be blamed on anyone else

Tebow probably makes the same mistakes, but he offers far more options with his running ability, his mobility and just leader ship qualities, not to mention better long ball.

I didn't see anything from Orton in terms of just passing that Tebow couldn't have done either, and probably a better over all job of it too.

This is isn't on Fox, Elway, the OL or anything else. Individually, Orton was pretty awful, unprepared, sloppy and playing not to get hurt. It's not what Fox would have expected from a Veteran.
