Could be that Aaron Rodgers and his 10 different receivers are just studs??? If Lambeau was a domed stadium GB would challenge for a 600 point season.

Uhh really? I think it's more like the Packers have Rodgers, 5 good WR's and a top TE and will carve up everyone.

I remember a game at the end of the season when they pulled Favre right at the end of his tenure there. Rodgers looked terrible and I was laughing because they were F'd at QB with Favre gone.

The jury is still out on whether I was right or not but it's not looking good for me...

You're right, the jury is out... out to eat with their families because they delivered the verdict last year.

The jury still out? Rodgers has as many rings as bret and been very good two years before. I'd say jury already decided Rodgers is one of top 3 in league.

Michelle Beisner had a comment about Rodgers on her facebook page, so I went to it... under work, she lists "Host/Reporter at NFL Network" at first glance, I read "Hottest reporter at NFL Network."

Funny how that works.

Especially the Raiders. After a decade of sucking, they finally have a decent season and what do they do? Fire their coach.

But what I said was true. The Raders were okay last year, and the two things they had going for them - Cable and Awesome-munga are gone. Gallery wasn't a stud, but he was serviceable. It's going to be a rough year for the Raiders.

As to your second point we're fine at CB.

According to Stats Inc., four AFC West cornerbacks -- including three Oakland Raiders -- were among the top six cornerbacks in the NFL in “burn” percentage rates (minimum of 20 targets).

BURN PERCENTAGE
Player Team Targets Completions Yards TDs Burn pct. Pass def.
1. Darrelle Revis Jets 56 19 340 4 33.9 10
2. Terrence McGee Bills 21 8 88 1 38.1 2
3. Stanford Routt Raiders 99 39 635 5 39.4 13
3. Nnamdi Asomugha Raiders 33 13 205 0 39.4 6
5. Brandon Carr Chiefs 108 43 758 6 39.8 25
6. Chris Johnson Raiders 42 17 288 3 40.5 9

He has won as many SBs and if he doesnt throw the critical picks, no doubt he will be better. Favre is far over rated imo

Aaron Rogers is the next big thing. To think they went right from Favre to Rogers. That's some amazing luck right there.

On an unrelated note, I do find it amazing the Raiders swept the division and still managed to suck. That's probably as indicative of how bad our division is as it is how bad the Raiders are, I guess.

That one guy, I have repped you many times but that comment on the jury still outon rodgers is probably top 5 posts of the year. Well, if you count all of MacGruder's as one post. Probably worst than that Raider fan that said Moss was a pass specialist.

I wouldn't even call it luck.

I think Rodgers slid in the draft because QB's who developed under Tedford were notorious for busting out in the NFL. Having Rodgers sit behind Favre for a couple years was amazing preparation. Unlike other high profile rookie QB's, he wasn't thrown to the wolves, had time to develop and more importantly, Green Bay had talented players around him and prepped for life after Favre while Rodgers was waiting in the wings.

Maybe lucky from a Broncos fan's perspective, since we have struggled with QB's since Elway -- but I give all the kudos to Ted Thompson and Co. for doing good stuff in GB.

Aaron Rodgers is leading that next generation of top-tier QBs. People should be scared of Green Bay. They were wrecked by injuries last year and were still something like the #1 off/def. They are totally loaded on all sides of the football. (Also helps to be top dog in the NFC, which has been noticeably weaker overall than the AFC these past years, in my opinion.)

One thing I think everyone is forgetting is that GB didn't make the playoffs until the last week of the season had Lovie not pulled guys they might not have won that game.

Also they squeaked by duh bears again in the NFC championship, Rodgers looked bad in the 2nd half of that game.

He took care of business in the SB though. There are times Rodgers looks like a young Elway (minus the Elway cross on his WR's chests) but then there are times he comes back to earth.

I think the Pack are beatable but I don't think we are going to be one of the teams that do it, especially on the road.

Wasn't Dennis Allen with the team last year when SEA put up 41 and Hassellbeck had 4 TDs and beat NO in the playoffs?
