He's probably done, and may be pissed at us we traded him but I wouldn't be against the idea, at least until captain flips-a-lot comes back.

Good production last year:

Warren played in 16 games with 10 starts and finished with 36 total tackles and 3.5 sacks

Anyone seen him in preseason? The poster on this Pats board thinks he did pretty well.

Would he give the new regime a pass on being sent to the Raiders?

does that make us #1 on the waivers?

No, this is not fantasy football. During the preseason the waiver order remains the same.

yeah...listening to the local Carolina radio, they are well aware of their waiver wire priority and they are clamoring for help @ DL and CB.

Patriots picked up Dan Gronkowski because they didn't have enough Gronkowskis on their roster. If the Broncos picked up Warren, it would kinda be like a trade! how fun.

isn't he better than McBean?

He was good for us, and he did well for Oakland. I'd rather have developmental guys at this point though.

Some 300lber of the street would be better than McBean.

I am not sure if age has caught up to him, but he has been decent in the 4-3.

Apparently, we still can't stop signing Patriot rejects.

Carolina has really taken advantage of that waiver spot

This is a good pickup for them. I thought he was by far the best TE on the roster prior to the draft/FA and was sorry to see him not make the cut. I think he's a pretty good player to have for depth at the position.

if Warren were holding grudges i tend to think it would be directed more towards the Shanahan staff than it would be at the Broncos organization.

He was a difference maker for us until he hurt his big toe. Then he got on Shanahan's bad side and it was off to Oakland. I thought that was a big mistake at the time.

When healthy, he's one of the better DT's we have ever had. I don't know what time has done to him since.

When you have Haynesworth, Brace, Wilfork, and Ellis as your DT rotation...you can afford to let Warren go.

He would make the rotation deeper at DT but I think EFX are content to go into this year with what they have and then address the remaining (or new) holes next year.

If they would have made more moves earlier I would see them going out and getting him but all offseason I had a feeling that they are happy to just stabilize things this year then go after more talent and depth next year. Maybe it's just because that is what I would do...

I doubt he gets signed by Denver until after the Oakland game if he's still available.

I don't think Denver wants to guarantee his contract. If he's still available, bring him in. He could be worth a look.

We need to get him after week one. Non-guaranteed contract and he would make the rotation better. Just IR Ty and sign Gerard

When we moved him to Oak, i was confused. At the time he seemed like our best DT at a time we didn't have much depth or talent...
