Senate Bill 238, sponsored by Sen. Jeanne Nicholson, D-Black Hawk and Reps. Don Coram, R-Montrose, and Roger Wilson, D-Glenwood Springs, extends a funding stream for providing tools for firefighters—with intergovernmental cooperation and pooled resources.

The money comes from the federal government out of federal mineral lease funds, amounting to $3.25 million annually. The program provides for training and the acquisition of equipment that is cost-prohibitive to an individual community on its own.

Texas has way more fortune 500 companies then most states. They have a big economy no matter what Spider tries to say about. You keep trying to win an argument when all I am saying is they have a huge economy, and they union is lucky to have them. I wish every state had the size and power of Texas.

I agree California has it going on which is why i live here. We have a huge agriculture sector, and a huge technology sector. Great weather, mountains, lakes, beaches, deserts. But one thing is for sure our state is in trouble just like texas. Mostly because of the feds not doing their jobs.

No doubt though that the piss ant states owe some gratitude to states like California and Texas for paying for all your roads.

Wildfires are something we deal with every summer in Texas. California can relate. A big chunk of Yosemite burned up this summer.

The country has more reason to help Texas then you Texas haters think. They are one of the few States that pulls its weight in this union.

15 largest economy in the world, enough said. Perry has ran Texas far better then Obama has run the country. He has loads more governing experience then Obama has also. Basically the left attacking because they are scared to death Obama is one and done. The whole democratic uprising, the repubs are done, hasn't lasted very long. Once again the democrats have ruined the country and it will take a repub to fix it.

So it goes on how big your economy is? Well, CA & PA is far above TX...and well right now PA's underwater. So, TX can wait.
