Lance Briggs wants out of Chicago. I think that would be a awesome pick up. Do you think this could happen ? Do we have room in the budget ?

Pass. Dude is a major distraction every year. He never stops complaining.

This is true but he is a tremendous athlete and with DJ out it would be a great pick up.

I'd sign him for a day just to tell the media that we're a 9 and Chicago is a 6. Then I'd cut him.

Lance Briggs would be a fool to leave the Bears defense, but he IS chasing fool's gold...

It's a bold plan that just might work.

If they'll do an Quinn for Briggs staight up deal, sure.

Corrected above. Also he should take Quinn's salary here and not complain until end of deal.

Has the talent, but a head case. And i love the 9 and 6 stuff :thanku:

I'd trade DJ for Briggs without thinking. We still need a MLB though not another WLB.

"he has been paid $28.8 million over the past four years. But that, apparently, isn't enough."

The epitome of a me-first athlete. Get's a front loaded deal then wants a new one after three years. **** these kind of people.

****, we should just get Al back. He's only 34. :'(

I'd be curious to hear the opinion of our Chi area posters but I'd be shocked if the Bears would even consider trading him. They have all the leverage. And nobody's going to offer them value.

Would be a much better signing for a team trying to make a run at the Super Bowl. I can't see much benefit to paying a guy Briggs age to hang out and watch us struggle until he calls it quits in three or four years.

No, and there is no need to even post this.

The Bears don't have that much depth at LB so unless Denver was willing to part with a top LB can't see Chicago doing the trade. They think they are a championship caliber club, so draft picks don't make much sense.

They think wrong.

I'm sure Ian Gold is available for just slightly less.

lol 3 or 4 yrs. The teams that are good right now won't be in 3 or 4 yrs. 4 yrs if forever in the NFL nowdays.
