Absolutely an epic "Fail" on the Broncos part. This team is pathetic. Bowlen is beyond done. Stick a fork in him.

This team is $25m under the Cap. They didn't even try to upgrade their depth. Then, when the last thing left to do...is sign waived players...they pass on that too. Why? Because there wasn't talent available better than what is on this team? No. Because they were concerned with paying salaries slightly above minimum. Wow, how this franchise has fallen.

Sure, we don't have to spend a bunch of money on guys who won't be here in 2yrs, but we could have at least improved our depth a little, so that we could compete this year. Absolutely pathetic.

Anyone want to bet that Xanders ends up being the scapegoat for Bowlen's empty wallet? Xanders will get the axe next year.

Can't disagree with anything in this post.

How the hell this team doesn't go get a CB better than Harris or a Tackle better than the two scrub backups we have in beyond me.

Call it competence. I do!

Very good post.

Bowlen is acutely aware of the fact that there is NO cap floor until 2013, so he's going to bleed it dry until the absolute point where he's actually forced to spend money. He's enriching himself on the backs of the fans at this point, nothing more and nothing less. He's obviously hurting in his outside business investments, or else he wouldn't be acting this way.

Unfortunately, we've got to pick up the bill for his bad outside investments. That's how it goes when you have a worthless ****ing POS miser as an owner. Sucks for us.

Here is what I don't get, you cut Perrish Cox who is a worthless human being, but the best backup CB we have, you keep Chris Harris who has been playing behind Cox for the entire offseason (so you are basicly saying that you kept the player who is less good) and then you don't make an effort to replace that guy.

I know they brought in Wilhite and he will definitely be ahead of Harris on the depth chart, but why not bring in an offensive tackle? You know for a fact that your entire OL backup group is useless, roll the dice on someone - worst case scenario the guy you bring in is no better than the guy he replaced but you haven't lost anything.

What really sucks is that if the Broncos started Tebow, at least we'd have something interesting to watch develop over the course of the season.

With Orton, its still 'bleh'. There is no reason to have faith in Orton to propel us to wins. He has established not a single reason in his time here to believe that he can win ballgames. He has a firmly established reputation as a loser here. Its not irrational to believe that he will continue to lose here.

I love Von and Doom, but that is literally the only thing that this team has going for it. Von, Doom, and an aging Champ. That's it. That's what season ticket holders are paying for.
