One of the first time i think that any of the talking heads has actually discussed Tebow and making alot of sence. Say what you will about Manigini but i will agree with him on his take of how to use tebow this season. Also Bayless actually points to the fact that playing behind that ridiculous backup o-line might have been responsible for some of the "caos"

caos = chaos = a state of utter confusion or disorder/any confused, disorderly mass = our backup o-line play

Good find. Yes, agreed, one of the more sane discussions regarding Tebow, and regardless of Mangini's record as a head coach, he knows more about evaluating players/QB's than any of us. I really believe that what he suggested the Broncos do with him in the regular season, is exactly how Fox will play him. Even if he is the 3rd QB, he will see more playing time than Quinn because of the dynamic he can bring on game-day that Orton or Quinn cannot.

I can handle criticisms as long as it is fair and thought out. The typical "he'll never be a quality QB in this league" is the kind of crap that I'm tired of hearing, and just shows to me that the "analyst" making such a claim probably never watched the tape. They just saw some highlights/low-lights and parroted what others are saying because that gets headlines/ ratings.

One thing to put in perspective though, Bayless is a huge Tebow fan, so while I may agree with his analysis, it needs to be regarded in that light; he is baised, positively.

Manigini is "the Skip Bayless of Head coaches"
Or is it the other way around?

I love Skip, he is hilarious. Funny to see everyone get riled up when he speaks contrarian to everything.

Tebow should and I bet will be used in goaline drills once the season is under way.

Not if he bobbles snaps from center. On third down on the 8 yard line, I'd rather see him in shotgun than Orton though. Mangini is saying Fox should give him a real limited play set (like they did in his three starts, btw) and give him some plays. I'm not sure that's been done ever. VanBrocklen and Waterfield shared time mnay years ago.

and ps, bayless is worthless.

Absolutely. He's like the anti-douche, too. It's amazing they're related.

No joke.

The (breathy voice, clutching chipotles close to nose) hhhhhaaaantoheeeeetossssss (antojitos) guy comes off as a pretty chilled character.

Skip is an uptight douchewad. Maybe because he was named Skip?

Rick Bayless? the chef from Chicago who specializes in Mexican food? i never would have guessed them to be brothers. Rick Bayless does come across as genuinely laid back and friendly.

you want another "i can't believe they are related" connections?

how about actor Paul Giamatti and his father, former commisioner of baseball, Bart Giamatti. he's the commissioner who banned Pete Rose for life.

Say what you will about Mangini

In keeping with the spirit of the day, I'll say this:

Belichick hasn't won a SB since Mangini left his staff. :)

They're both ugly sons of guns, so I can see the relation.
