D.J. Williams is in danger of missing the regular-season opener against the Oakland Raiders after the weakside linebacker suffered a dislocated right elbow Saturday night in the Broncos’ preseason game against Seattle.

“”I’ll be all right,” Williams said.

Williams is expected to be sidelined three to four weeks, which means he could miss not only the opener Spet. 12 against the Raiders but Game 2 against Cincinnati on Sept. 18.

Yeah Oakland and Cinci will be terrible this year. If we lose either of those games I will be seriously concerned about our fortunes this year.

OK, 3-4 weeks is not bad. Just heal up. From what I was reading online, it could have been as bad as like 10 weeks or something.

Just get better DJ.

What's Bunkley's diagnosis and time period?

Cincy has a good defense and offensive line.

The only problem with that team is QB and inexperienced receivers.

Oakland is a better team than Denver.

Read on twitter that DJ had his arm wrapped up in a sling with a bunch of ice after the game and Bunkley was walking around fine with nothing wrapped up. Bunkley should be good to go.

Both are better than Kansas Shiaty. Chefs will be lucky to win 6 games this year. Can't score, can't stop anyone from scoring. You should be worried about your own team.

Injury update from the room: DJ Williams left with elbow heavily bandaged. In a sling. Not good. Bunkley walking okay. Seems fine.

Fox downplayed the injuries to DJ Williams + Bunkley. Both will get MRIs. Bunkley was walking, nothing wrapped, no crutches, in locker room.

That's good but Im still a little worried. I'll feel better after the MRI. A small part of me is wondering if Bunkley is injured but doesnt know it or he's in denial since he's off to a good start with a new team.

Yeah that douche that felt compelled to blindside cut block a guy like that right in his knee in a freaking preseason game is a real POS. A play like that deserves more of a fine than hits like Rahim Moore's last week.

Sucks about DJ. I hope he can be beack to 100% by Week 3's game. If he sits for Oakland and Cincy, I am sure Woody will fill in wonderfully.

Good news on Bunk that he was walking fine after the game. Gallery is such a turd. Looks like his days in Oakland have permanently tainted him.

Wasn't dirty. Wasn't really a cut block. Wasn't scary and was because Bunkley was part of the play. Did you even see it? If not.....

Bunkley and the OLman were in open space, away from the trenches. The RB was swinging toward the sideline and Bunkley pursued. The OLman dove across, a yard in front of Bunkley, as an obsticle - not directly into or at his legs which would be dirty.

Normally a DLmen would notice and pull up or have to step over/around such a block, slowing his pursuit down enough to give the RB room. Bunkley didn't have his head on a swivel in space and ran into the sprawled-out OLmen.

Because Bunkely just ran into the blocker, rather than being struck by the blocker, the injury is probably very minor and I don't expect him to miss any practice. Going to the training room was probably just precautionary.

The bching and moaning by Denver press, Vickerson and posters here is just foolish whining.

I said his arm was flopping about. Like a fracture / dislocation. Sounds like his elbow was dislocated.

I did see the play and it absolutely was a cut block. The ol engaged, released and then dove directly into his knees hyperextending one of them. I think you may want to watch the play again. He made direct contact with his legs, not one yard in front of him. If the ol had engaged higher and slid down to take his knees out in one motion I would agree with you.

When you predict 50 different scenarios for each injury, you are bound to be right one one of them.

DJ has to be on the weakside. He just doesn't shed blocks or play physical enough to be in the middle or at SSL IMO. We are a stud MLB away from being really good. I thought Vickerson looks really good so we have a good player inside, at DE, at SSL, at CB and at safety. When you have good players on every unit then your avg role players will have a chance to make plays.

For example, doom gets some pressure, Bailey has a wr locked down, gives a player like Goodman who isn';t very good a chance to make a play because QB under duress, doesn't have a lot of open WR because safetys and Bailey doing their jobs etc etc. It's like a snowball effect and Broncos finally seem to have hit on the first round pick.

DJ best in space, in coverage, and attacking plays from the weakside. He's in the right spot. Not smart to move backers because then you have 2 players out of position. We could use a big leader at MLB though no doubt about it.

Can't fix everything in one offseason.

I don't think DJ at this point can do anything on a football field that Woodyard can't. I think we will be fine but we still need DJ back he's one of our better overall defenders, even though i never cared for his style of play.
