Where's the freak out thread? Ha!

"Tim Tebow, who threw only two passes in limited duty against the Bills last Saturday, is likely to enter the game after Orton. Tebow and Brady Quinn split practice snaps with the starters after Orton left Thursday's workout early and split second-team duties for much of the past two weeks.

The Broncos appear to have closed out the week leaning a little more toward Tebow in that role."

I've heard from the Fan that Fox is not yet saying who's going in.
The speculation that has Tebow going in after Kyle is based on what happened in practice where Tebow took a good number of reps this week.

Then again, Fox has shown to be a little odd in the decision making department...

Because people in general are pretty sick and want to see good people fail to make themselves feel better.

That is BS. As soon as bad news comes out people say either play him or cut him or the franchise doesn't know what they are doing blah blah blah. Then all this crap comes out about Orton and how he sucks in the RZ.

The groups are divided between letting him develop vs throwing him into the fire because Orton sucks.

I've seen maybe two posters that saying that Tebow just sucks.

That's only part of it.

Many people hate UF.

But I do agree that a large fraction of the Tebow haters are anti-religious zealots. However there are many people who are not religious who like Tebow and pull for him as well.

But I think that most people who like sincere, loyal, tough-minded people root for Tebow, even if they believe that he needs time to learn.

Im just wondering about a doublestandard. If there was a jewish QB who was this criticized, there would be more than a few people who are quick to point out that religion is behind the criticism. But since the roles are reversed, this is not only being ignored but it's practically taboo.

It's just that a big time bust is more dramatic than boring old reality (he's learning, progressing, but we ultimately don't know yet and probably won't for a while). People love drama. If he started tearing up the league I'm sure that would get shoved down people's throats 24/7 as well.

Yeah, imagine if this kind of wild attack criticism was happening to Cam Newton right now. Yikes!

Jesse Jackson would be out there making some cash off of it.

Jamarcus Russell, a #1 overall pick, didn't receive anywhere near the criticism that Tebow has received.

I can't think of another young player who has.

Tebow has been criticized more than Vince Young, who was selected #3 overall.

Its an observation.

I think that its important for Broncos fans to know that the situation is different with Tebow than it is with other players.

Some Broncos fans just want to dump the guy because of the hate he generates...that's how bad it is.

I mean think about it...he's the Broncos second string QB and he's getting the press that Favre used to. Instead of a fawning press, you're talking about a ravenous press who play to the hater crowd. Weird.

Personally, I think that Tebow is going to be very good.

Probably because he said that he doesn't play for the fans.

As a fan, I'm not going to bat for a guy who doesn't want to go to bat for me.

He still has yet to get it done on the field when it matters. There's really no reason to be his advocate.

I don't think it's this at all. Most people who don't hang on Tebow's balls think the rest of you freaking out is what's entertaining. We need to find out what he has, if we don't so be it, because at this time, he's not taking us to the playoffs. It's nothing to get your panties in a bunch about.

No one cares about his stats. A lot of his stats come when the game is out of hand. When the game is close, we know what happens. Last year was supposed to be a career year, yet his QB rating was only 5 pts better than Tebow's who was a rookie. And this doesnt even cover the rushing yards and redzone production that Tebow brings.

Please, Orton has had an ample chance. He's a dud. Don't get pissed when people call him what he is.

How aboutt this is no big deal , just like last week was no big deal, because Fox said last week Quinn got to go into the game second and this week Tebow got to go into the game second. See, there is no conspiracy and there is nothing to celebrate. It was the plan all along. The better question is were drama queens screaming about the terrible news that Tebow was relegated to only one series and this week dancing in the street because he is back to number 2?

And some Bronco fans will sing his praises and make excuses for him no matter how poorly he does because of the blind love for him......that's how bad it is.

And some Bronco fans will hate on Orton and want him to do poorly (and hence, their favorite team do poorly) just because of their undying love for Tebow.....tha's how bad it is.

Alec & TGN notwithstanding.......The majority of people calling for Tebow to be traded or cut seem to be frustrated (and impatient) Tebow/Gator fans.

Most of of us realize that Tebow will get his shot at QBOTF.....The future just isn't now.
