ESPN tells Paul Azinger to lay off the Obama tweets
Paul Azinger's Tweet
Facts: Potus has played more golf this month than I have: I have created more jobs this month than he has.
ESPN is coming down on Paul Azinger for mocking President Obama on Twitter. The golf analyst tweeted Thursday the commander in chief plays more golf than he does -- and that Azinger has created more jobs this month than Obama has.
On Friday ESPN 'reminded" Azinger his venture into political punditry violates the company's updated social network policy for on-air talent and reporters.
"Paul's tweet was not consistent with our social media policy, and he has been reminded that political commentary is best left to those in that field," spokesman Andy Hall told Game On! in a statement.
ESPN's Hall would not comment on whether Azinger, who won the 1993 PGA
Championship, will be fired, suspended or punished in some way. "We handle that internally," he said.
After being publicly chastised, Azinger declined an interview request. Hall said he just wants to "move on."

...and yet ESPN puts 'feel good' Obama sports stories on its home page every time it has the opportunity.
These clowns are owned by the same company that owns liberal news outlets.

good point. If espn fired half the doing nothing liberals that worked their they might a have network. Who really gives a damn what Paul Azinger says. its probably true. ESPN and other networks have been kissing Obama's ass every since he was elected President.

FWIW, I am glad ESPN cracked down on the political tweets. Just as long as it isn't a one way street. I get real friggin irritated when guys I follow for football news get off on political rants, like last year when Peter King went off for a day pushing his anti-gun agenda. I stopped following him for about a year (until the lockout news was heating up), because I had no desire to read some north east liberal sports writer spewing his liberalism to his SPORTS followers.

I think we can all agree that sportscasters are not the ripest apples in the bucket....especially when they play political pundit.

It is so fascinating how the liberals accept war when a democrat is in the WH. News of our troops being in Afghanistan until 2024 would have sent them into their usual hysterics a few years ago, but now, pretty much silence and yawns.

That tweet was funny. Sure it ripped Obama but he was making a point that he should be playing more golf and that the president should be creating more jobs. Big deal! It was good humor and that line should have been saved for a roast.

I would have responded if I did Twitter would have been
Almost rammed car with Kenny Mayne in it, with intent...held up.. coulda been someone important in the car.
BTW, I have no ill will against Mayne as he does some very funny light hearted stuff on ESPN. Just a good comeback.
