For those of you now sucked into this thread, how are the sports radio stations in Denver? I've seen where 104 is putting together a morning show for Jan 2012. Considering sending in the ol' resume and putting my name in the hat. Been working here in DFW for 9+ years now.

You should test the waters on the OM WHAM!cast.

As an aside, was ESPN ever good? Honest question.

104.3 the FAN is currently ESPN all morning, then Jim Rome, and then locals for drive time and evening. 102.3 the Ticket is currently all local all day long however they are unbearable in the afternoon except for the guy who does their updates.

Come January you can just pretty much flip the stations as 104.3 the FAN is losing ESPN and 102.3 is getting them (per what they say on their website). That is probably why they are looking to start filling for morning on air talent.

Good luck and keep us posted.

ESPN fell awhile ago. If it were akin to the Roman Empire, what exists now would be medeval Europe. Bloody violent with a dash of what it used to be.

I'm still with ESPN and love it. Yeah, there are ups and downs and I'll often question some things (ie, Josina hire). We're just on the DFW-end of things, but it does hold a lot of power when gaining access.

104.3 is pretty good. Mike and Scott are the two goofy guys who have more of a fun show, not very knowledgeable about football but not bad.

The second show is Big Al, DMac, and Stink. This is the one I like the most. It's pretty fun to hear stories from the glory days and the two players know what they're talking about. Although Al can get ridiculous because he is a major homer.

Sandy Clough is the no nonsense kind of guy, he can be a jerk but he is usually fairly accurate with the things he says. He owns callers who aren't prepared or make ridiculous statements when they call in. I'd absolutely love to hear MacGruder call in and try his little Tebow shtick on that show.

My understanding is 105.5 Jack FM will switch over and carry ESPN. 102.3 will continue on as normal. 105 and 102.3 are within the same family

I think Dealin Doug and Adam Shefter are part owners the 102.3 radio network group and little rich kid Lou From Littleton wanted somewhere to talk about his passion baseball

Montrose should be able to clarify if he wanted to chime in

ESPN hires Josina Anderson
Posted by Michael David Smith on August 17, 2011, 4:20 PM EDT
Regular PFT readers know we routinely credit Josina Anderson of FOX 31 in Denver for breaking major NFL news. With her solid reporting chops we knew it was only a matter of time before Anderson left FOX 31 for a job that gave her a higher profile, and now that job has come along.

ESPN announced today that it has hired Anderson as a Chicago-based bureau reporter covering the NFL, as well as the NBA and other sports.

Anderson will be a great addition to ESPN’s NFL reporting team. She’s had impressive scoops on significant stories related to the NFL’s drug testing program, major contract signings and the tragic deaths of Broncos players Darrent Williams, Damien Nash and Kenny McKinley.

In addition to working for FOX 31, Anderson served as a correspondent on Showtime’s Inside the NFL last season

102.3 is a joke than. When they started up, they ragged on 104.3 for not having all local programming and now they are switching.

They might as well put on ESPN programming from 4-7 because Alfred and Stink dominate those 3 hours. Best analysis around when it comes to football
