On nfl live, the GOAT QB (on his side of his family, but not the best FB ever, thats his sister), Merrill Hoge was ripping up Cam Newts completion on a seam route for not leading him another yard, where he said it would have been a td. Just beating him up saying he will never develop that kind of accuracy etc...

Dude is out of control. Cam missed some passes, in his first preseason game! Big Deal! Freeman was way way wild his rookie campaign, the comparisons are endless.
Hoge is a joke, tune him out.

Then you have Ctis Carter dissing Calvin Johnson because he forgot to put him in the top 5 wr, so to cover that up he rips him to defend his mistake, then admits he only ripped megatron due to his gaffe, and laughs like it never happened.

I get they need hits, traffic, ratings, but espn is so terrible right now, they make pft look like pbs.

I agree completely.. the stuff Hoge is spewing is so incredibly offensive it's unbelievable. I am surprised they are letting him trash Cam though. It seems like ESPN has been hyping cam heavily.

Merril Hoge is the least of Cam Newton's worries right now.

Later today, USA Today's Danny Sheridan is expected to reveal the name of the "bag man" who delivered the cash to Cecil Newton.

Time for another Heisman to be revoked?

Wow.

Another non-title title team led by a non-Heisman Heisman.

So I guess Hoge just hates spread option QBs trying to make it in the NFL in general.

probably because none of them have made it in the NFL

I didn't watch the segment, but are we going to really say that Chris Carter "didn't make it" in the nfl?

Some former players just aren't balanced analysts, that's why they take such strong positions and look foolish.

But if we are going to bash someone, can't we pound on fat ass Jamie Dukes for a while? I hate that guy...

Not sure but Merrill Hoge is a douche on the level that makes Agamemnon and MacGruder look like normal folk. So it is entirely possible.

He really did. He even broke down film explaining why Alex Smith completely outclasses Aaron Rogers. It was one of the best parts of the Packers beating the Steelers, Hoges former team, and Rogers earning MVP on the way to it.

The irony in you calling anyone a douche is truly amusing.

That is stunning.

It also gives me hope for Tebow.

I was actually coming around with Dukes a little bit until i heard him on SiriusXM NFLN radio saying the Broncos should trade Tebow to Miami...

If the Broncos aren't going to play Tebow over Orton why shouldn't they trade him?

If the Broncos players don't want to play with Tebow then why not trade him?
