To be fair, the Cutler apologists don't actually need someone for Jay to throw the ball to. They just need a lack thereof, so they can continue beating the "but he doesn't have anyone to throw to!" drum.

I love that drum. The tears give me strength.

Terms are pick and a player.

ESPiN didn't say for who or for what though per standard operating procedure.

They picked up Spaeth(SP?) a blocking TE from the Steelers since Martz doesn't like to use pass catching TE's.

Olsen was very Sheffler like.

Man, Carolina's sure made a lot of noise this offseason. Don't know if it will make them better but at least they're having a go.

Jay Cutler doesn't need excuses dumbass. He plays with this franchises worst ever defense, he goes 8-8. He plays with a good defense, he makes the NFCCG. Why exactly would he need an excuse for dominating this game?

Lead apologist, jhns... COME ON DOWN!

I already did?

I wish we could get that 2008 offense back. They performed better than anything we have had the last two years and the large majority (all but 3 starters) had three years or less of experience. I still do not understand how anyone could have ever thought McDaniels was going to be successful. Good thing Elway agrees with me. I still can't believe you all defend McDaniels on this stupid ****.

He wouldn't be bad there.

Report: Bears begin pursuit of Roy Williams

The Chicago Tribune reports the Bears have "started their pursuit" of free agent WR Roy Williams.
With Greg Olsen heading to Carolina, the Bears are in the market for a big receiver to run more three-wide sets. We expect this signing to be fast-tracked considering Williams' history with Mike Martz and WRs coach Darryl Drake.

Obviously McD was beyond an epic fail, dismantled that offense in less than 2 years. We could sit here all day and say "What if". Or you can move on and just deal with it, it happened and there isn't anything any of us can do about it. We need to look forward and hope that Tebow can lead us back to the promise land...if he does, we'll all look back on the last few years and joke about it. Either way, you need to move on...

Cutler probably isn't real happy about this.

Not sure what they got in return, but I would have kept Greg Olsen.

I know he didn't really fit in what Mike Martz likes to do on offense, but too bad, find a way to use your weapons.

Greg Olsen is only 26 years old and will be Cam Newton's favorite target in Carolina.

Looks like they got a 3rd as compensation:

Brad Biggs reported (http://mobile.twitter.com/bradbiggs/status/96737018586992640) the trade as finalized is Greg Olsen to CAR for a 3rd round pick only, no player coming back.
