One down, eight to go. The Broncos have signed their first draft pick, tight end Virgil Green, who was selected in the seventh round. Based on the new rookie pool formula, Green received a four-year, $2.16 million contract. He will make $392,282 as a rookie _ a $375,000 minimum salary plus a $17,282 signing bonus.

Green can attend the Broncos’ first training camp workout at 8:50 a.m. Thursday.

Sweet, welcome to the Denver Broncos Virgil!!!

BTW, my phone tries to auto correct Virgil into Virgin! So if I ever post about Virgin Green tearing it up in camp is b/c I didn't add his name to the dictionary on my phone!

After the Haggler, Foneco & Skittles debacles i doubt Virgin rates high on the list of OM lore.

I'd settle for Jeb "Jacked Up" Putzier production from a TE.

Shouldn't be hard to beat Quinn out.

If he has half the career of Jerry Evans, I'll be stoked.

if he can be a healthy Tony Scheffler i'd be happy.

As long as he isn't another Robert Quinn I will take some ham to bed!

If he makes the team, then he is better. He just has to match Byron Chamberlain. Byron was a 7th round pick and did pretty well. Who was the pick before him? Terrel Davis, 6th round.

As a receiving TE he'll surprise most, but after seeing him try to block college DL/LBs, I hope he isn't asked to here.

Microfracture is why he fell where he did. He was a top receiving talent at the position in the draft. I like him better than Julius Thomas. Quinn, Thomas, Green -- one has to pan out.
