So how do we sign all of our Rookies ?? I think Von Miller will take up a good chunk of this.

ESPN's John Clayton is reporting that after adjusting to the new rookie pay-scale system, Denver has a $8,118,404 rookie pay pool. Meaning they have to sign their nine drafted rookies using up to that much allotted money.

44M over 4-5 years life of contracts of 9 picks, thats not so bad. Last year Suh go 60M for 5year deal alone.

That makes sense, the 8mil is just what counts this year and then 44mil is the total of rookie contracts over how ever many years

Von total deal is like 24M over 5yrs w/ team option. So this year hes making like 5+M

I thought it was 4 years with the 5th being the option? Not Aaron Francisco money but I would take it.

It will be 4 years with an option for a 5th year. The 5th year salary is dependent on league wide salaries for his position in that 5th year.

EDIT: I posted this in another thread but it is pertinent here also.

Per the Broncos Vice President of Public Relations Jim Saccomano, four rookie Broncos have officially picked their jersey numbers: Von Miller (#58), Rahim Moore (#26), Julius Thomas (#80) and Virgil Green (#86).

The 5th year being like a Franchise tag type payout.

You right the 5yh year he would get top ten money i believe. Which before Suh played a down last year he was already making that money bracket. Of course watching play he deserves it, but top ten draft picks can be a crap shoot. I am very pleased that the only time we'll ever drafted that low we got this break in price.

Yeah #80 is big shoes to fill. But seeing 80 and 87 back on the field will be sight for sore eyes

We have plenty of money. You guys are killing me. And getting rid of Orton will free up another 8.8 million. Even if we can't find a trading partner for him, the guy isn't going to stay on our payroll at that number.
