Otherwise, Mike Mohammed.

My vote for 2003: Adrian Madise.

Does the Todd Devoe award implicitly mean that they're ineffective during the season??

If not, then Jeremy Beal (BOOOMER SOONER baby!).

If so, then...perhaps Quinton Carter after a preseason game or two when he shows of his abilities as a human projectile.

If we're cutting Gaffney, I hope that Willis is for real! He was great in preseason last year.

Going to lean with Jeremy Beal too or one of the TE's. These are typically given out to new/ish players.

Virgil Green, hands down. I can hardly wait for the first "he's so fluid when he runs he reminds me Antonio Gates" comment.

dammit dude, i was pimping Green all damn offseason hoping we would draft him. so don't knock on my players....lol

but in all seriousness, i wonder if Green's better suited as a WR instead of TE. naturally you would assume with his 6'5" 250lbs size he would be better suited as a receiving TE.
but when you throw in he has 4.5 speed and could easily shed 10-12 lbs and get even faster and still be a massive target and mismatch against shorter, smaller weaker corners, it becomes an interesting thought of moving him outside and letting Thomas get all the reps as the potential receiving TE of the future.

with Demarious now having at best an uncertain future if not a non playing future, this team needs a replacement big fast target on the outside and right now Green fits the mold.

and yes, i am serious about this idea. his 40 time of 4.5 is comparable to what both Demaryius and Brandon Marshall ran and he weighs 20-25 lbs more than both of them.

The Todd Devoe award is awarded to an underrated player that makes a lot of plays in Training Camp, and turns the fans into a frenzy, draws a lot of hype. A Todd Devoe award winner will be best known for a great training camp for that year and not much else.

Side note:

09 belongs to Crowder. The Brandstater joke didn't really catch on until after camp, imo.

And the list is seriously flawed when Hixon receives no mention!

He played well all things considered. But that was at ILB not MLB. He's really not a good fit at MLB.

You got it backwards. Hixon didn't have a great camp with the Broncos that I can recall...he blew up in New York and the OM Hixon meme ensued afterwards.

Brandstater was thought to be a potential starter and some actually wanted him to start for the Bengals game in the season opener because Simms and Orton had injuries.

I have to argue with your 2010 winner. I think Matt Willis was the hands down winner last year, and given that Colquitt won the job you can't really say his camp performance was his top contribution.

Add in the fact that he's already got the 2012 job locked up, unless they bring someone else in of course, and I don't think he's even eligible for the Devoe Award.

Willis won last year, and I think stands a great chance to repeat in 2011.

I can't remember the exact years so well but Mike Bell had to have been up there in the discussion as most hyped ever. So many TD comparisons that you'd have thought he'd be the Broncos starter for 10+ years. Those were fun times though.
