Yep, and 4 of those INT's, 469 of those yards and 1 of those losses came against a team that went 4-12 and had a defense ranked at the bottom. He's a star!

Actually I think Cassel had one of his best games against the Broncos. Like 4 TD's in the game at Mile High right?

Excellent signing of Steve Breaston by Kansas City.

Breaston will only be 28 this year.

He is a stud punt returner if called upon.

Breaston has a 1,000 yard season (1,006) and seasons of 712 and 718 yards.

If I were Todd Haley, I would line him up in the slot with Dwayne Bowe and Jonathan Baldwin starting on the outside.

That is an excellent starting 3 WR set.

Throw in Tony Moeaki at TE and Jamaal Charles, Thomas Jones, and Dexter McCluster at RB.

Kansas City should be a pretty damn good team in the next few years....if I were a fan of the team, I would be excited about their future.

It's the Golden Age of Bob

It's true, females don't use logic. LOL

No, we do use logic. Let me lay it out for you Bob.

Cassel had 7 excellent games where he had a QB rating above 100. To you, without logic, just so damn happy to have a QB performing. But if you look at those 7 games, Bob, they were against the 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, and 32nd ranked defenses. The best defense he had a good game against was SF, 13th. Still lost 2 of them. In the playoffs he completed 50% of his passes, 3 INTs, with a 20.4 QB rating.

So logically Bob, better hope the Chiefs get to play a lot of bad defenses this year so you can believe you are logical in thinking he's the one. Me, I don't see much difference between him and QB's (Griese, Orton, Ferrotte, etc) who have occassional good games but don't go anywhere. Oh yeah, the Chiefs made the playoffs, and to you Chief fans that's like going to the SB.

You do realize a #3 WR is an important piece of the puzzle in today's NFL, and a dire need for the Chiefs?

It's also a good signing for KC because he can start if Baldwin isn't ready immediately.

Meanwhile the Donks are cutting Jabar Gaffney because your offense is going back to the stone age.

Chad Ochocinco - WR - Bengals

Chad Ochocinco hinted via Twitter Thursday that a trade with the Patriots could be in the works.
Ochocinco sent a message to a Twitter follower suggesting he's going to "enjoy clam chowder," an obvious reference to New England. While that's hardly evidence that a trade is in the works, the Cincinnati Enquirer felt compelled to write that Ochocinco speculation is in "overdrive" following a talk radio hosts statement that the receiver is on his way to Boston. If the Albert Haynesworth trade, nothing Bill Belichick does will surprise us.

Everyone is praising the Redskins but I think this guy nails it:

i’m glad you are so happy with the performance of the skins front office; so lets review-

so far washington got a 6th in 1012 and a 5th and 6th in 2013 for mcnabb and haynesworth (this ignores the wasted money and time of last season). they also signed every wideout over 30 on the market; just none that threaten a defense, unless the geezers all bail like stokely apparently is. the skins also paid 27.5 M/5yrs for a DE with 11 starts. 12.5M guaranteed.

meanwhile, the eagles got babin for 28M/5yrs with 5-6M guaranteed. and they traded their backup qb for a starting corner and a 2nd in 2012.

given the cap room gained by trading kolb, they can now lock down vick and desean jackson. and probably have room for sproles and a linebacker and safety too.

so if shanny allen and the skins are catching up, its hard to tell from here.

by the way, who exactly is your quarterback these days….?

Free-agent DT Derek Landri is receiving significant interest from the Broncos, according to a league source. Landri could visit Denver as early as tomorrow.

Landri, 27, started all 16 games last season in Carolina playing for new Broncos coach John Fox. As the Broncos transition to a 4-3 defense under Fox, defensive tackle has remained their most glaring need, one they didn’t address in the draft.

Rotoworld .... Panthers must have an incredible amount of money to spend (DeAngelo, Charles Johnson, Anderson, Davis, Beason, Ron Edwards, Olsen)

Panthers signed MLB Jon Beason to a five-year, $50 million extension through 2016, including $25 million guaranteed.
The hard-hitting Beason was due just $1.338 million in the final year of his rookie deal. He's now one of the highest paid linebackers in league history. It's pretty unheard of for a "non-rush," 4-3 'backer to hit $10 million per year, let alone with so much guaranteed money. Beason is certainly a high-impact player, though. He's started every game of his career and forced 10 turnovers over the past three seasons while annually ranking among the league's leaders in tackles. Beason is also only 26. Oh, the Panthers do have money. This is part of the reason why they only won 2 games last year, and John Fox was accused of giving up on the season. Key players, yes. But they have been very active in building a QB friendly offense, aquiring two very talented TE's (Shockey, and Olson). Cam Newton is going to have every chance in the world to make it as a pro with the moves Carolina is making, if he fails, well he sucks. They already have a pretty good O-line when healthy, now they have the weapons, and they have Ron Rivera rebuilding that defense.

I don't know man, I just hope we can use the Kolb deal as a base line for Orton, and nab some of Miami's DL depth. The Dolphins have been owning the second round DL market for the last four years. Jared Odrick is sick, Phillip Merling (injured last year) is sick, Kendell Langford is sick, and all of these guys came in the second round. Watching this defense last year broke my heart, because I had a sick feeling losing Mike Nolan was going to make us a mediocre team (I had hope for Wink and I regret hoping).

I'd take it as a personal favor if you posted more often.

Now that the Mane isn't a political circus, I would be more than happy to oblige. We have football to talk about, and God willing, a Defense for the first time in 6 years.

RB: Ahmad Bradshaw, Ronnie Brown, Joseph Addai, Marion Barber, Cadillac Williams

WR: Braylon Edwards, Malcom Floyd, Randy Moss, Mike Sims-Walker, Steve Smith (NYG), Derrick Mason

TE: Zach Miller, Kevin Boss, Todd Heap, Bo Scaife/Brandon Manumaleuna(?)

I'd prefer Aubrayo Franklin and one of those two. Ideally Franklin and both of them though. We really should be shooting to have at least four or five solid DTs, especially if we're rolling the dice on someone back from a major injury like Warren.

The Arizona Cardinals sent running back Tim Hightower to Washington on Sunday, in exchange for defensive end Vonnie Holliday and a 2012 draft pick.

The Hightower trade comes hours after the Cardinals agreed to a four-year deal with running back Ryan Williams, the team's second-round pick this year.

1. Why would he want to come here?

2. Why would we want him when DE is a comparative position of young strength for us?

1. Because he could become the next Julius Peppers under a guy like Fox and with a guy like Doom on the other side.

2. Comparatively, he would be an upgrade at DE over unproven commodities (Beal)and guys whom we really don't know what we have (Ayers). When Osi played opposite Strahan, he was a wrecking crew. Doom presents that possibility, IMO.
