Carter's Malaise speech is regarded by many to be the singular moment that signaled the public's distrust in his ability to solve the energy crisis and economic problems.

Check out this comparison of Obama's rhetoric and Carters' Malaise speech:

Personally, I think that this debt ceiling deal is the final nail in the coffin of Obama's presidency because it has finalized in alot of peoples' minds just how far away from reality his politicies are and how badly they have failed us.

Which really goes to prove how very little you know and understand about politics.

The issues of the 2010 general election are still the dominant issues of the day, and with unemployment and inflation both high and climbing, Obama has proven himself incapable of managing a down economic period. Just like Carter.

We saw an historic turnover in the House in 2010, and the upcoming election is trending in the same direction.

Obama is already 8% points behind a generic republican candidate and is being exposed for lie after lie after lie.

This county is ready to move on. Just like we were with Carter.

Again, too bad you guys aren't running Generic.

The real candidates are a bunch of yahoos.

What county is that? Orange County? El Paso County? Inbred Banjo Boy County?

LMAO many concider the speach as Carters undoing ? Only Retards would....The nail in Carters wasnt no speach........It was the Hostage situation and the failed rescue attempt .....
I just cant figure out why epic feels the need to lie so much

You missed the important message: "Anyone but Obama."

I think that most republican candidates will beat Obama, and someone like Perry would beat him significantly.

And that's part of the reason you're called epicFail.

That's a stupid take. Amazingly stupid. Breathtakingly stupid.

Which is why you're a proto-fascist.

The Republican 'block' will vote ABO (Anybody but little-O) even if he was the greatest thing since sliced bread, just like any idea or policy from Repubs will be smeared by the Demo 'block'.

The significant point is when Independents no longer consider little-O a functional Prez or candidate and take an ABO approach to the next election. Not only will little-O lose reelection, but dingleberry Demos that would normally ride coattails must now pull a Heisman with him. In 2006 and since, any Repub or Tea that is really considering an election run has avoided or even chastised W and the GOP. Eventually Demos will be required to take the same approach with little-O and the Progressives.

I doubt little-O even wins the 2012 Demo Primary
