Craving Football?

The USA is 3-0 in pool play after beating Mexico 17-7. The crazy thing is that they played every other day!

Cody Hawkins is the QB for the USA. It looks like the USA fields a team from different NCAA Division levels to make it more competitive.

The final is on the 16th, I'm sure there is some stream out there since it is televised on Eurosport 2 in Europe.

We won against 17-7 vs Mexico? What team are we fielding here, Special Olympics? WHo are these scrubs and not sure where we find these guys to play other countries. Scores should be USA vs Cumberland type as in 222-0.

Cody Hawkins is the QB. He's like the 102,131,123rd best QB in the nation.

No SEC players allowed, I assume.

beat me to it. Maybe a few Vandy players and wideouts are from a white boy school. Kicker is probably some fat black lineman. We are dummying down so we don't look like the ugly Americans. Hope the sport goes more global. Seems Mexico, Germany and England are into it besides us and the canucks.

Let's see other countries with people big enough to play football at a pro level

Sweden
Norway
Russia + former USSR
Mongolia
New Zealand

that's it.

Did we boo the Mexican National Anthem at the game?

Good summary of the event/the level of talent we're fielding on deadspin:

Sounds like Mexico was the next best team, as both have won by 60+ in a shutout against other teams.

I know all you Buff fans hate on Hawkins, but look at the little guy go at the 1:27 mark, chasing down a defender from ruining the shutout on the blocked PAT:

Do people still wonder why many foreigners hate Americans?

To them, even our ****tiest football players fight with more gumption and determination than most, and that must be quite offensive to the sensitivities of backwards nations everywhere. When the system is unfair, our INT prone QBs fight with the same grit that our men do.

Jealousy.

Cody Hawkins > most men around the world. Thank God for the United States.

I see that Nate Kmic, RB and former Mount Union College and local product of Delta, Ohio is on the team and is one of the captains.

Kmic is the NCAA's all-time leading rusher with 8,074 yards. The three-time All-American also holds all-division college football records for all-purpose yards (9,651), career points (780), career touchdowns (130), touchdowns in a season (44 in 2008), points in a season (264 in 2008). The 2005 Stagg Bowl MVP was part of three National Championship teams at Mount Union (2005, 2006, 2008) and scored a touchdown in 51 of his 56 career games and had rushed over a 100 yards in 36 different games.
