I went to the Dan Reeves show that year when he was a guest. 1991 I believe? It was wild, man.

right now I would have to say Gaston Green vs. Knowshon Moreno is a dead heat in the battle of mediocrity....

What you talkin about ? Haven't seen one long run from Moreno for a TD...well maybe one.........................I'd take Green right now...........

Green made more big plays that is for sure.

While Green was faster...he was one year flash in 91. Plus I don't remember Green scoring many TD's. Without looking at the stats I'd bet Knowshon has more.

We should do one with our oline last year vs. The expansion texans oline. That would be more comparable.

Why limit us??? Terrell Davis, call it a wrap.

Gaston Green was gonna get you either 1 yard or explode for 65 yds on a carry, you never knew...

as for Knowshon he'll either get you 1 yard or explode for 5 yards you never know...

tough call...

I would probably even take the current Gaston Green. out of the nfl for years.

I see Knowshow as more a Gerald Whilhite type. The 1st round draft spot, the inability to maintain his feet or break a tackle, both decent at catching the ball but no homerun punch.

Gerald just has him beat with the back flip.

I'd take Lendale White over Moreno right now - have completely lost confidence in the guy to move the chains for us. If they change the blocking scheme maybe he'll show us more but as of right now concerning this question Gaston Green.

Actually, I've got Moreno behind Gaston Green, but just in front of John Keyworth. (a 1000-yard season should put him right up there with Bobby Humphrey, though).

1. Terrell Davis
2. Floyd Little
3. Sammy Winder
4. Clinton Portis
5. Mike Anderson
6. Otis Armstrong (nobody ever talks about Otis anymore, do they?)
7. Bobby Humphrey
8. Gaston Green
9. Tatum Bell
10. Gerald Wilhite
11. Steve Sewell
12. Olandis Gary
13. Knowshon Moreno
14. Jon Keyworth
15. Reuben Droughns

Where is t3h Hillis?

Around #20, next to Rod Bernstine and Selvin Young.

Green clearly had superior speed... but it seems like he was more of a guy who had his "moments", as opposed to a guy who was a true every down back.

Green was one of a slew of bad picks by Rams' Coach/GM John Robinson, who had a lot of extra draft selections as a result of trading Eric Dickerson.

IIRC, Darryl Henley (serving life in prison) and DE Bill Hawkins (never did squat in the NFL) were other examples of Robinson squandering high picks.

The wind from a D-lineman falling down from five yard away could bring down gaston green.

So, obviously, Green would still be the better back.

didn't Moreno's only notable run come off a pass play?

Yes. Because he was away from the oline and able to set his feet.

I think reuben droughns was better than he got credit for. Guy would hit the hole and scratch his way for a first down. Not fast, but alot of power and fight, very similar to what Hillis was doing his first year. tater tot at 9 seemed high.
