Don't know if it is true but here is the story.

(Local News 9 - Queensland Australia) Actor Kevin Bacon died in a single vehicle crash between Ipswich and Willowbank in Queensland as confirmed by Royal Queensland Police - July 5, 2011

The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. (UTC/GMT +10). Kevin Bacon is believed to have been in the area while on vacation. He was identified by photo ID found at the scene. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this accident.

The Ipswich - Willowbank connector highway is known to be one of the most dangerous stretches of road in Australia due to road quality conditions and tight curves in the road.

That sucks if true. Hugely underrated actor and what seems like a very good person. His brother in law owns a frozen yoghurt place in my neighbourhood.

I'm thinking it's BS, based on what I've found. Anyone know what 'mediafetcher' is?

Oh ease up. First, I believe this is BS as I even looked up to see any related stories and didn't see one. 2nd, if Clarence Clemons dies at age 69 and you put up a Roger Clemons picture, are you really butt hurt? Was the OrangeMane tribute on a thread the official RIP thread? It is not like our president died or someone in high regard to most of the population. I like Kevin Bacon, but this just seems like BS. Plus, it isnt like I ****ted on a birthday thread.

Zona, if you are going to quote one of two posts, why that one? It was a reference to name dropping in a thread concerning Lockout coming to an end.

BTW, looks like you might be finding this in the Horse's Butt soon.

I think I noticed a list of celeb deaths reported there, including Clooney and Will Smith. I still cling to hope that there will be a Footloose 2.

If Kevin Bacon dies are we all 6 degrees separated from death?

Only being smug because I think it would have been a bigger story if he died. Plus I think he is on tour of the states with his brother and their band.

Went to the movies with my wife last week and saw a preview for the new and updated Footloose movie. It looks like it was made for that 12-to-17-year-old crowd. And thinking back, the original was probably aimed at the same demographic. Kenny Loggins didn't get the call for this soundtrack.

...and Paul McCartney...

And Weird Al:

Weird Al Yankovic is out and about promoting his new album “Apocalypse” and dropping some amusing tales – like the time Paul McCartney stopped him from parodying his “Live and Let Die” hit.

Yankovic had originally wanted to change the title to “Chicken Pot Pie” but McCartney insisted he find a different subject. “He didn’t want a song used in any context that would be supposedly promoting the consumption of animal flesh,” the comedian recently recalled on the ‘The B.S. Report‘ podcast.

That is what the original was targeted at, though I was in that range when the 1st one came out I never could sit through it. Had I been able to I might have landed the chick I spent my HS years pinning for. She was into Flashdance and wore her shirt collars and sleeves torn like all the other girls at the time.
