I don't get it. Are we (Colorado) known for Cocaine? When did this happen?

You get a complimentary bag-o-coke with any purchase at any store in Vail and Aspen. They don't call the rich "high and Mighty" for no reason.:wiggle:

That's my view as well. Shrooms and weed for all the hippies. They missed that one. So many stereotypes and the pick Cocaine, which is more a big city type drug. Fail.

The yayo tidbit for Colorado got me too. Ganj, well that makes sense and even psychadelics with DMT, acid, shrooms, etc. -- but I never knew CO was legendary for base drippin'.

Its a very real Colorado problem.

Study in 05 determined that the highest rate of cocaine use among people ages 12 or older in the Nation was found in Colorado, 3.9 percent.

Colorado also ranks last in per capita spending on substance/abuse prevention and treatment.

More likely known for medical marijuana heists, Subaru's, avalanche deaths, and rafting deaths. I don't know how it all fits together, but there has to be a connection there somewhere . . . .

Personally, my theory is the influx of Texans is behind it all. Except for the Subaru's.

Cocaine is a significant drug threat to Colorado. Powdered cocaine is readily available throughout the state, and crack cocaine is available in urban population centers.

Cocaine is frequently abused in Colorado. The percentage of Colorado residents who report having abused cocaine in the past year is higher than the percentage nationwide. According to the 1999 and 2000 NHSDA, 2.5 percent of Colorado residents age 12 and over reported having abused cocaine in the year prior to the survey compared with 1.6 percent nationwide.
