Tonight, CNN is hosting a Republican Primary debate. In no particular order; Ron Paul, Tim Pawlenty, Michele Bachmann and four losers that seem oblivious to the fact the Republican machine died four years ago, will attend. All seven take the stage to hear questions from the most sensationalized, idiotic and absurd news network on cable, then likely use the opportunity to address the real issues of the candidacy.
The guest list tonight...
+ Ron Paul: Texas Representative ran in '88 as a Libertarian and '08 as a Repub
+ Tim Pawlenty: Former Minnesota Governor

- Herman Cain: Former radio host, KC Fed Reserve Chairman, Godfather's Pizza CEO and black guy
- Rick Santorum: Former Pennsylvania Senator lost in '06 by largest margin ever for sitting Repub
- Newt Gingrich: Loser had his 15min in 1994 and has been a floating turd ever since

yeah it would have been much better if faux news would have held this. At least then they would have gotten some easy questions.I hope Ron Paul spanks them all.

You're seriously "ranking" Bachmann over Romney? He's a "loser" and she's not? He can be a spineless, phony flip-flopper but in many ways he may be the best GOP candidate. Certainly better than Bachmann, more electable than Paul (definitely) and Pawlenty (probably).

I'm on the Bachmann bandwagon. :charge:
I'm switching my affiliation just so I can vote for her!
My new bumper sticker:
Bachmann in 2012: Let's get this **** over with!
It's time for the American people to all come together and express their sense of humor. Why keep voting for liars? Vote for a nutjob instead!

I hope Ron Paul makes them all look silly. He's the only real candidate worth a hoot in hell. Dumbass repubs will probably go with the best looking candidate instead of the best leader.

Sounds like you either didn't watch it, or did with the volume off.

It was the same song and dance we've been hearing from Republicans for years: cut taxes, kill regulations, and lip service to spending cuts (even the supposedly "brave" Ryan plan slashes a relatively paltry $38 billion when the deficit is $1.5 trillion). In other words, the same garbage that contributed to the mess we're in now. Paul was, of course, the exception, but he doesn't have a prayer.

You can't over spend for yrs and yrs then expect some cuts to even it out right away. It will take 40 billion in cuts over 15 yrs, with the economy picking up so revenue goes up, to close the deficit etc etc. We have to start somewhere and Obama's spending way more then any other President ever has. And at a time when the tax revenue is lower.

According to Pawlenty we're going to have sustained 5% growth so this will be easy. That's his plan. Many years of 5% growth. Details shmetails.

Also, the GOP keeps telling us that we don't have a revenue problem, so cutthemdown's point is completely moot when it comes to the GOP field.
Revenue is fine, everybody! We just need to cut out entitlements for the old and poor! And increase welfare for the rich and corporations!
WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO TRICKLEDOWN WORKS I AM ****IN' CRAZY!

Yup. All we have to do is eliminate the top tax brackets, reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes, and estate taxes, and corporate taxes, and everything will magically get better! Overnight!

Viewer Poll on Republican Debate: 25% Undecided, 75% Unconscious
Worrisome News for GOP Field
NEW HAMPSHIRE (The Borowitz Report) – In what could spell trouble for the current field of GOP presidential candidates, a poll of likely voters who saw last night’s Republican debate found that 25% of viewers were undecided while 75% were unconscious.

Additionally, over half of respondents agreed with the statement, “This field of candidates comes dangerously close to qualifying as a prank.”
Despite this somewhat tepid response, the debate did have its moments of excitement, such as Rep. Michele Bachmann’s official announcement of her candidacy: “I wanted to declare my candidacy here in New Hampshire, the home of the Boston Tea Party.”
Rep. Bachmann received high marks in the poll from voters who said they found former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin “too cerebral.”
While Gov. Palin is not yet an official candidate, she told reporters today, “If I do decide to run, I’m gonna come ridin’ in like Paul Revere at the Alamo.”
Another potential candidate, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, offered this statement: “At this time, I can’t decide whether to run for President of the US or secede from the US and become President of Texas.”
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney made the most headlines last night by offering voters this guarantee: “I will never get involved in a scandal like Weinergate because Mattel did not give me genitals.”
Answering a question about the mass defection of his campaign staff, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said, “They all simultaneously realized I was a douche.”
Finally, by a wide margin, the poll showed that the biggest winners of the GOP debate were the people who didn't watch.
