Just wondering which of the Finals - NFL or NBA you think is better. For my money it the Bruins/Canucks. Better hitting, more hatred and just overall more passion.

The Epic facebook twitter tourture of Lebron with today's social media is epic! Use the tools to make your move a huge celebration and then die by the same sword

Normally I'd go hockey, but the last two games (while compelling in their own way) were blow outs. And all four NBA games have gone down to the wire, had sizable comebacks, etc. Plus you have a whole year of storylines in the Mavs-Heat. A decade's worth really. There just isn't a team so easy to hate in any other sport right now, while the Mavs with Dirk and Kidd are easy to get on the bandwagon for.

We're lucky to have two great series on alternating nights right now.

But my ****ing Canucks better nut up on home ice tonight.

ps go Canucks, jeez I had no idea about the team history, but getting compared to the Cubs organization that's gotta sting. plus this whole boston thing is getting old

This year, its the Mavs-Heat...at least up until now. If the Dirk led Mavs pull this off, it will be the ultimate in validation and vindication. And for him to do it against a team with two elite players,...big respect.

I have nothing against Hockey, just find it boring to watch. Honestly, I didn't know who was playing until I read this thread.

But...go Dallas Stars. ;)

Just because I hate everything the Heat represent and think Dirk is a solid player/human being.

Both have been pretty exciting.

I prefer hockey over basketball due to the speed and action of the sport.

However, I don't watch either at all during the regular season.

Go Canucks!

Hockey is far more exciting than Basketball.. maybe the announcers make it that way though.

No.....It's just a way better sport. At least the playoffs are. Hockey playoffs are simply awesome, no matter the match ups.

Because of the **** ice in boston. Negates Vancouvers exceptional passing game

I haven't even watched highlights from any of these games. The list of NHL/NBA teams that I dislike more/am less interested in than the Bruins, Canucks, Mavericks and Heat is really ****ing short.

Srsly?

Vancouver has had meltdowns throughout this postseason. Nothin' special about the two in Boston.

Vancouver's ice last night looked a lot worse than Boston's did in games 3 and 4. During one power play they had in particular, the Bruins didn't have to do anything because three times in a row on routine passes between Canuck players, the puck bounced around and hopped over Canuck sticks and cleared the zone. It was pretty comical.

IMO, while both series were awesome, the only thing the NBA finals had over the NHL finals was the fact that it was available in 3D. For me, that's really the only thing that's made the NBA watchable (other than watching LeBron choke).

Doc Emrick is one of the best commentators out there...as exciting as they get IMO!!

I think hockey is great to watch. It's certainly the best sport to watch in person (and I love football by far).

I'd say its about even, the NBA finals had some good storylines and the Cup Finals went to seven games. Though, I have to say that the riots in Vancouver put the Cup Finals over the NBA Finals.

NBA basketball is the best to watch in person. I sat near the court a few times this season and watching Blake Griffin, Shawn Marion, Tyson Chandler, etc, fly around in the air is something else. Not to mention watching a 7 footer launch three pointers like he's a perfectly calibrated catapult. Dirk's shots are crazy to watch from the lower bowl. Everywhere he stands it looks like he's shooting from 8 feet away.

When Griffin comes through your town, be sure to buy a ticket. Dude's a freak.

My favorite to watch live is soccer though. Its like taking the outdoor atmosphere of a baseball game and putting an extremely intelligent sport on display.

The NBA Finals had the sporting world captivated. Hell, a boat load of non sports fans was paying attention to it.

The only things I could tell you about the NHL Finals is that Boston won in 7 and there was a riot in Vancouver because they lost.

Went to a Suns game, sat in the lower level, pretty close to the court. People were constantly getting up/walking up and down the stairs all through out the game. Not to mention the music playing through out as well. At a hockey game, you can only go to your seat when play has stopped. I find my hockey game experiences i've been to, to be much greater than my basketball experiences.

People arent allowed to walk up and down the aisles in Dallas until there are breaks in the game (time outs, etc.)

You can get up to go grab a drink etc but when you come back and the puck is in play, you have to wait till play stops to go sit down. I can't stand it when i was at the BBall game and people were constantly getting up during play, pretty damn annoying if you ask me. Another thing i LOVE about hockey..NO COMMERCIALS IN OT!!!

Even though this NHL finals went 7 games, it wasn't very good. I think Vancouver underperformed and straight up disappeared in road games and this stained the series as well as made for some very boring games. There was a lot of bad hockey but thats what happens when one team fails to show up half the time.

Went to an Avalanche play-off game against Detroit 10 years ago and it was the best sports atmosphere I've ever experienced, including Bronco play-off games.

I've been to at least three dozen Avalanche games since then, but it just isn't the same without the play-off fever.

I've only been to one Nuggets play-off game a couple years ago and it wasn't anything like the intensity of the hockey game.

Give me a game seven hockey game any day.
