Tonight was the midseason finale, did anyone who watched it think any of the following:

1. This was actually the series finale?

2. Matt and Trey are signaling the show has run its course and they'll finish out the season in the fall and be done with it?

3. Matt and Trey are just screwing with everyone and it'll come back like nothing ever happened in October?

I think so. 15 seasons is a nice round number, they have a bunch of other things going on, and I believe their contract with comedy central ends at the end of this season.

As a southpark fan (and a broncos fan).. this makes me sad.

I could see 2 or 3, but I don't see how they could get away with having that be the series finale.

enjoyed the hell out of this episode....the Landslide montage was at the same time cliched an poignant. It does feel like Trey and Matt might be starting to think about moving on

personally this season as a whole has sucked incredibly, aside from the Butters episode last week which even that was kind of a weak episode in comparison with prior seasons.

so if they have decided to move on, it is looking like it may be time anyway.

That would ****ing suck if it was! Even though a lot of the episodes suck anymore, every new episode is like opening a new Christmas present. It could be great!

Man I hope they are just screwing with us, but that one was metaphorical in that even they might start thinking their show is turning into s h i t.

I thought the episode was great, and also there have been at least 3 really terrific episodes this season so i havent been all that disappointed.

Weird ending tho. I hope its not the last.

I just read that there are 7 more episodes for season 15 to be completed this fall.

Just like every season, they do half the episodes in April/May/June and half in the fall.

I believe they're contracted with Comedy Central to do one more as well.

Mock would have long made it into an episode by now if they were.

Doubt it was the last episode and doubt it is the last season.

The show is still good, unlike the Simpsons which should have stopped after 9 seasons.

I've never seen a show embrace jumping the shark quite like that..

Randy Marsh's soliloquy near the end was epic.

Not funny at all, but epic all the same.

15 is the last season they're under contract for...for now. And to the original post, I'd go with 3. This season, so far, has been **** though.

Just saw Book of Mormon a few weeks ago. If you can figure out a way to get to New York and get tickets, I can't recommend it highly enough. Easily one of the top 3 shows I've ever seen.

I'd be sad if they stopped, even if the quality has gone down. South Park is one of those things from my childhood that Ill always cherish.

It has gone downhill, but that's only natural because seasons 5-11 or so were some of the best television ever.

Hope they pick it up and go out with a bang whenever they do call a halt to it, it deserves a great send off.

I actually went to South Park Jr.& Sr. High. Yes people, there really is a place and it's in Fairplay Co. It was soooo small that both the Jr. & Sr. high was in the same building with one long hallway. I think there was around 25-30 kids in my class in Jr. high. I think my graduating class (had I stayed there) was around 8-10 students....lmao.

We played 8 man football ... even Varsity.

My bus ride was aprox. 1 1/2 hours to and from school back then. But there was only a 4 day school week and we skied in Breckenridge for P.E. :) (I could do a Rubix Cub in under a minute)

Thank God I made the move from my Dads Ranch to my moms house in the city during my High School Days. 8 man football was novel in Jr. High but would have sucked in High School.

yeah but small town people seem to have more close friends. I am a big city person but when i visit my buddy from HS in Alabama his life so much different. Everyone knows each other, they all say hi, when they have a party at someones house tons of people show up. In LA all your friends will be busy, half of them will show, but you don't know any of them as well as the small towners do. Just my 2 cents.

I agree, but that thanksgiving episode sucked something awful. I get it, History channel has alot of ancient aliens shows. Weak premise.

It seemed to me that during the haiatus (sp?) Comedy Central said uh oh and threw a ton of money at them to keep it going. They seemed to make that point in the fist episode back then put things back together the way they were.

I DVR'd last night's episode and went to bed at like 9:30.

Thanksgiving one was pretty weird/lame. I only occasionally catch them these days and it was neither their greatest nor worst in my opinion.

Southpark has definitely not fallen off like the Simpsons has.

My Grandparents had a cabin there until they sold it about 5 years ago. I loved FairPlay.

I don't agree with that. I think season's 10 and 11 are the best ones. 9 was good also. This season has been the worst, imo. I did love Human Centipad, TMI and Bro-way.
