All of these games make me nauseous. Does anyone else experience that? I end up feeling like I've been on a roller coaster.

Looks awesome!

I was just saying to some of my friends how much I'd love it if some of the action were set in real life places like the capitals, particuarly some stuff in the heart of London and in the Underground (from England).

No. But in MW2 fighting Russians in the WH, Capitol and blowing them to hell at the WW2 memorial had me take a break from games for awhile. Listing that scenario under "things I never want to see happen, ever."

agreed, its not even close, I bought and play black ops now only because most of my friends do as well, but I can't help but feel that the only reason people play black ops over MW2 is because its technically newer. I'm very excited for MW3 (didn't infinity ward get destroyed as a studio by activision though)

You mean the Infinity Ward that was gutted by Activision after they let it's leadership go? In actuality, MW3 is a tag-team effort between IW and Sledgehammer....kinda like MoH was a tag team between EALA and DICE.

MW3 is going to be a step down for IW, guaranteed. The engine is the same and the texture, graphics, gameplay are nothing new.

BF3 on the otherhand is going to be a light-years leap over prior BF games and anything Activision has put out.

I wonder if that has to do with how games are becoming nearly photo-realistic, its throwing off your inner ear and whatnot.

Well considering you get motion sickness if you shake a broom at them you might vomit, pass out and wake up covered in TP and eggs.

I just want infinity ward for once to support their games, MW2 is so full of hackers and bugs it is ridiculous. I love the gameplay in MW2 but about 25% of all lobbys I enter I fail to finish because of hackers or bugs.

What I want is MW2 type gameplay and guns without stopping power and with Treyarch maps.

What I want is MW2 type gameplay and guns without stopping power and with Treyarch maps.

Here is what I like from MW2:

Guns (they felt so much better and nicer to handle and there were more viable guns to use, in black ops if you are not using famas or 74u you are at a severe disadvantage)
Graphics (players stand out nicely in MW2 compared to black ops and the colors were so much more vibrant)
Cold blooded protected you from killstreaks, in Black ops you need ghost pro to not be violated by chopper gunners etc.
Perk leveling (I liked that you get get almost all perks to pro by the time you could prestige no matter which game types you play)
Non-commando knifing (knifing is only viable if you are right in someones grill or behind them, in black ops you can run through bullets and still kill with a knife)

Here is what I like from Black ops:

Point system (I hated in MW2 how you had to use a gun with crap attachments and no attachments to unlock the ones you wanted, I also like that you can unlock the perks you want in the order you want rather than in the order the computer lets you, especially with a perk like ninja)
Maps (the maps in black ops are better than the maps in MW2 and there are fewer crap maps, in MW2 only 4 or 5 of the original maps are not crap (Favela, Invasion, Karachi, Skidrow), in black ops of the original maps only nuketown and array are really awful.
No stopping power (I hated how powerful guns were with stopping power in MW2, now that you take 3 or 4 shots to bring down at range it gives a bigger insentive to use assault rifles for long distance and SMGs for short range)
Kill streaks (the harrier was so overpowered in MW2, I still think the chopper gunner needs to be nerfed but the rest I am fine with, also no nuke!)
No death streaks
Support (they have been patching glitches and trying to balance guns)
No bull**** perks (one man army, danger close and commando)
Dedicated servers! (9 man per team and consistent low latency as well as no wait to find lobbys)

Stopping Power absolutely must be in MW3 in order for me to buy it. There is no way in hell I am going to play another Ghost infested game. If Stopping Power comes back people will actually have to give up something huge in order to hide from radar/killstreaks all game like a bitch.

Game will suck, but it will take the kiddies away from BF3 when they both come out, which is good. It's not even the same people at Infinity Ward, the IW group from previous CoDs has been dissolved.

The n00btubes really pissed me off but I wasn't ever too concerned with the Marathon, Lightweight, Commando dudes, probably because I have a top of the line headset and can hear them coming from a while away.

The hackers were in COD4 and COD5 as well and it's not like they were in every lobby.

In groundwar even a good headset won't save you from commando, there is just too much gunfire going on.

So far I have seen 1 hacker on black ops and he was banned from the server I saw him on during the first game, in MW2 on PC for a few months I saw hackers in about 25% of all lobies I played regardless of gametype.

It looks like Activision knows the franchise is over in its present form. When you fail to innovate on the tech side (afaik this engine is still a heavily heavily modified q3 engine) then I suppose all you can do is go as far over the top as you can.

if you want to know what the real IW guys are doing (the same guys that had to plead with Activision to let them do a "Modern Warfare" game) keep the name "Respawn Entertainment" in mind.

The lack of development on the console side to which Activision panders exclusively means that there is not much point in investing in a new engine that will obsolete as soon as the next gen consoles are announced. BF3 is a game that will only be able to take advantage of its new engine on PC, on xbox and ps it will be throttled back heavily and if current games are any indication it still won't be as smooth as the COD engine.

The fact that the PS3 and XBOX360 hardware which is both obsolete and pathetic is still dictating the performance of software is the sad reality of console gaming.

HALO is more like BFBC2 in terms of the team work required and map complexity than it is like COD. COD is the only fps I can think of that is on the market right now where you can win a team game by yourself.

Next round of systems are going to be quite a leap from the current group, even if they cut back on costs, the 360 and PS3 are just pathetic hardware, you can buy a GFX card 4x more powerful for $30 these days.

Haha didn't want to ruffle any feathers but yeah, COD seems to be the most simple multiplayer of all the big name games. Albeit, I've never played it on a competitive level, so who am i to make that judgment.

Now what would make you think such a thing? They are using new technology that has been used recently in the latest EA Sports games, which are products that are primarily on console.
