All of you people crowing about Von Miller are fools. Ignorant fools who evidently don't understand one of the simple, timeless axioms of football:

You earn the right to rush the passer by stopping the run.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Broncos had THE SECOND WORST RUSHING DEFENSE IN THE NFL last year and have done NOTHING to fix it this offseason.

Why the **** would I care about a 230 pound outside linebacker rushing the passer when I'm steamrolling the middle of your defensive line with the NFL's best rushing attack? Von Miller will be getting his **** pushed in with the rest of your front seven. Then he'll bite on a play fake and Jonathan Baldwin will roast your secondary for a long TD.

****, Baldwin and Miller are basically the same size. Hell, they benched nearly identical amounts at the combine. Keep your head on a swivel, Vonny, otherwise Johnny's gonna knock it off when Charles springs to the outside.

If the Broncos had drafted Dareus I might be sitting here a little worried your defense was actually going to improve. As it is...it's still the same bag of ****, just with an older secondary and a useless, undersized linebacker who is going to have precious little opportunity to rush the passer....because you guys suck balls against the run. Oh, and Miller sort of sucks against the run, too:

Not a smashmouth, physical linebacker who breathes fire, and lacks the swagger associated with many special talents. Does not always compete hard at the point of attack (despite possessing shock in his hands) and at times appeared to be saving himself as a senior, showing lapses against the run. Is a tad on the light side — reported to the Senior Bowl at 237 pounds and weight dropped closer to 230 during the season — needs to add and maintain bulk. Was immature early in his career and has yet to become a vocal leader.

Jesus, really, is John Fox an idiot? He inherited one of the worst run defenses in football in a division with two of the league's best rushing offenses...and he drafts a 230-pound linebacker......

He's as dumb as you guys are as you crow about this pick.

Have fun in the cellar.

Hulamau
04-29-2011, 02:54 AM
Hey numbskull! Miller played excelled on all three downs at A&M .. not just rushing the passer..

Here's a quote from Nate Solder put that in your pipe and choke on it!

"Colorado offensive tackle Nate Solder recently confessed he had trouble touching Miller, let alone blocking the Texas A&M linebacker, during workouts at the Senior Bowl. Considering that Solder was drafted 17th in the opening round by the New England Patriots, that simple jaw-dropping testimonial is worth more than 1,000 words of yada, yada by draftnik Mel Kiper Jr.

When I asked if Solder's story of can't-touch-this speed was true, Miller answered with a laugh that revealed far more truth than his words.

"Nate Solder," Miller said, "he's an extremely talented guy. Whenever I go up against any guy, I'm going to try my best to get to the quarterback, and I'm going to try my best to get from Point A to Point B so fast I'm not really worried about the tackle. I can't even look."

Bye Bye Cassel!!! :-))

I'd be slightly scared if you had anything on defense besides Von Miller.

You don't.

Dareus was the right pick for Denver and man did they blow it. Hell, Fairley would have been a better pick.

Yeah, we should have picked a "can't miss" interior dominator like Glenn Dorsey. It certainly put the Chiefs over the top.

Glenn Dorsey vs. Tyson Jackson: Who Has Been More Disappointing?
By Jordan Lanning (Correspondent) on December 19, 2009 1,366 reads 7 comments
You're in the Chiefs channel.Next

When the names Glenn Dorsey and Tyson Jackson appear in your mind, many thoughts pop up.

Some good, some bad, but when you draft two defensive lineman in the top five during the last two drafts, you hope there is a bit more production to this point. But, to a certain extent there has been.

Glenn Dorsey's rookie season gave off some mixed feelings, he had just 46 total tackles (32 solo) and only sacked the quarterback once.

But in his "Sophomore" year, when some players production drops off, Dorsey's has slowly increased. With two games left to go, Glenn has 48 total tackles (two more than last year) and four more solo tackles (36) than in '08.

Tyson Jackson, on the other hand, has just 25 total tackles. Neither Dorsey nor Jackson has recorded a sack this season. I have been a little disappointed so far in the play of the rookie, Tyson Jackson.

We also must note that defensive linemen are the slowest positions to produce. Not many D-lineman go to the Pro Bowl as a rookie, it takes a couple years to develop. So to you Chiefs fans, the only thing I can tell you is to just be patient.

Patience is one word Chiefs fans are sick of hearing. But the fact is, the Chiefs won't be competing for a Super Bowl anytime soon, so all we can do is just be patient and hope for the best.

But now to the main question to this article, who has been the "biggest disappointment" so far? Glenn Dorsey or Tyson Jackson.

Glenn Dorsey had the most hype coming into his rookie season; many "experts" thought for sure he would win Rookie of The Year honors. He instead wasn't even in consideration come the end of the season.

Tyson Jackson, as everybody knew, was a reach at No. 3 and there wasn't nearly as much hype. He statistically has not performed well at all. But he really didn't put up great numbers at LSU either.

The Chiefs drafted him No. 3 overall because he was a "perfect fit" for the 3-4 defense they were switching to. He was extremely quick off the line of scrimmage. The only problem with that is that in the NFL, offensive lineman are much quicker as well.

I hope Jackson and Dorsey are both able to be worth the money the Chiefs forked over to them, but will they?

Dorsey is just 24 and Jackson is only 23, so their future still could become pretty bright, but if they don't turn out to be considered some of the best in the business, the Chiefs defensive line could and probably would be in deep turmoil for years to come.

So who has been the biggest disappointment so far? My pick is Tyson Jackson, because of where we drafted him and the lack of productivity we have received in return.

Baldwin to KC the head-scratcher of 1st round

Each year plenty of draft picks are panned by us in the draft analysis business and wind up proving (surprise, surprise) that NFL teams know more about their prospects than we do.

Perhaps that will be the case with Kansas City's selection of former Pitt Panther wideout Jon Baldwin with the No. 26 overall selection.

But I believe Baldwin was the most surprising selection of the first round.

It isn't just that I'm lower on Baldwin that most. I certainly acknowledge his unique combination of size, speed, leaping ability and body control. He proved to be a big play threat while with the Panthers and is entering an ideal situation with the Chiefs due to the fact that they already have a legitimate No. 1 target in Dwayne Bowe to take the pressure off of the rookie.

However, despite the fact that the 6-4 (3/8), 228 pound Baldwin has the size to intimidate, he isn't a particularly physical receiver. In fact, when defenders pressed him at the line of scrimmage, he struggled.

It is also important to note that this is the same Baldwin who questioned former Pitt head coach Dave Wannestadt and his offensive staff when he told NFLDraftScout.com's Chris Steuber of his intention to leave the Panthers early for the NFL. (Baldwin later recanted, before re-announcing the decision.)

Given the rarity that Scott Pioli invested a first round pick in a wide receiver previously and these questions about Baldwin's physicality and maturity, I was stunned by the selection -- especially considering the number of highly touted offensive and defensive linemen still available. These positions, of course, were thought to be Kansas City's focus heading up to the draft.

Pioli's track record speaks for itself and Baldwin is a terrifically gifted player. Had you asked me prior to the draft to pinpoint one of the least likely pairings in the first round, however, I just might have picked this combination.

KC's offensive line still needs help, but now they have another prima donna WR, so all is well in chef's land...

Baldwin is going to struggle right away because of what other people have mentioned: questionable awareness and route running abilities, along with ambiguous hands. He isn't Brandon Marshall, he isn't even close. Just because you got that idea from Walter Football doesn't mean it is true.

Pitt wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin (http://www.collegefantasyfootballinsider.com/player/3756/Jonathan-Baldwin-WR-Pittsburgh-Panthers) says he plans on declaring for the 2011 NFL Draft after this season. "Heck yeah I'm leaving," Baldwin told NFLDraftScout.com. "It can only get worse. They had me running a lot of deep routes [this year] and yards were hard to come by. I barely ran intermediate routes; it felt like they were purposely trying to disrupt my draft stock."

Baldwin also took a shot at quarterback Tino Suneri, noting that just because coach Dave Wannstedt is gone "it doesn't change my quarterback!" Sounds like Baldwin has had it in his mind all along that Pitt was just a stepping stone to the league and is really bummed that the the team didn't put his goals ahead of theirs this season.

Baldwin isn't in KC because he was lazy. It's amazing how much potential the guy has. He had nice hands in college, he had the body for the position. His vertical jump was insane.

We're hearing in KC that Reid got tired of his laziness and he drops basically secured his thoughts of letting him go.

Jenkins is more of an Andy Reid type of WR. DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin are faster, shorter WR's who can make plays in space. Reid likes those types more than bigger possession types.

Jon Baldwin, the No. 26 overall pick by the Chiefs in 2011, was waived by the 49ers on Sunday. And if he couldn't make it through the first two weeks of an NFL training camp without getting cut, you have to wonder if he really has a place in the NFL at this point in his career.

Jesus, really, is John Fox an idiot? He inherited one of the worst run defenses in football in a division with two of the league's best rushing offenses...and he drafts a 230-pound linebacker......

He's as dumb as you guys are as you crow about this pick.

Have fun in the cellar.

Wow great call!

Because one player is going to bring your team to greatness.

O.. wait.. no he isn't. Stop having delusions of grandeur.

It really doesn't matter what you believe... the fact is that as long as Peyton is our QB, we'll win the west, and IF you get into the wildcard, you'll lose. I expect two more years at least, before you have a serious sniff at the playoffs beyond the wildcard.

All the bleating and flexing and "omg this guy is awesome" threads, won't mean a thing.. because you won't win the west, and you will most likely lose in the first round.. if you even get there.

He went exactly where he was projected to go.

The guy played with **** quarterbacks...he is going to explode in the pros facing constant single coverage.

Explode right out of the league. He is a monumental bust.

It's amazing how bad at drafting the Chiefs are

They get top picks and piss them away on turds like Tyson Jacskon, Glenn Dorsey, and Eric Fisher

In one of the most stacked classes ever they come away with someone who is about to be out of the league 3 years later

If you actually look at their roster, it is not that good despite how Chief fans like to act

They have exactly one good player on offense in Charles, and he has like 4-5 good years left?

On defense they do have Berry and Houston who could be good for a while
Houston was inconsistent last year though and again like the rest of their defense struggled against legit competition

Hali is slowing down and while Derrick Johnson is still solid he also doesn't have that many years left

Despite going to the probowl Dontari Poe is not that good
All of his sacks came in the first month of the season and he was pretty much a nonfactor after that

If the Chiefs don't start drafting significantly better it is going to be like Reid's Eagles....without Jim Johnson

She did claim she thought Tamme was better than Decker so Chrissy has that for her. Not sure if Boob would go that low to play dumb.

He's accepted the harsh reality the past three years - really since Manning got here and the Chiefs front office showed they are still continuing their habit of not investing high draft picks in quarterbacks.

Sheepstud is the new Bob.

Charles was the only impact player on the Chefs' roster last year -- but he did account for close to 2000 all-purpose yards and 19 touchdowns. Bowe was the only other Chefs player on the list who had any stats at all and even rookie Montee Ball was responsible for more yards from scrimmage than Bowe.

Oh -- Broncos with more yards from scrimmage than Ball? DT, Decker, Moreno, Welker, and Julius Thomas. Bowe (their #1 WR) had more yards from scrimmage than Hillman (our 3rd RB) though, so Chefs fan can console himself with that.

Your right, I meant WR only but was in a hurry.
