What Are Your Draft day Plans?

Personally, I won't be at any draft party. I will be at home on the recliner in front of the TV with my laptop in hand.

You would go all the way to Dallas for a 3-year olds B-day party that belongs to someone else? Your quite a guy Doc.

Leave work 1/2 hr before the draft, stop and pick up a 12 pack of something cold and fermented whatever looks good. Hurry home to eat the "delicious" dinner my wife will have prepared and then retire to my recliner in my man cave, flip on the 52" and enjoy/hate the first round.

I heard there's a new strain of ebola that presents as extreme beer craving and the desire to hit small things long distances with clubs.

Ebola isnt something you want to pass along to the family.

Looking at a $1.99 app in the Android store that should be real time. Could always just get text updates from CBS 4 on the Bronco picks which are pretty quick.

If you feel something contagious coming on surly they would not want you to expose the illness to the young uns.

Me, I'll be flying to SD but I did bump up to first class so I will have internet at least.

Headed to Iowa to spend the draft watching with a friend who writes for an internet draft site. He'll be in touch with a number of the draftees who he has developed friendships with through interviews and consulting with some agents.

We'll spend time arguing over what teams have done well or not. :wiggle:

Last year was awesome. This forum went into full-on meltdown mode when the news broke that the Broncos had traded back up into the back part of the first round because everyone knew it was for Tebow. Then when Tebow was drafted...I have never seen anything like it. The chat room scrolled rapidly for a minute straight. It was insane.

Unless the Broncos draft Cam Newton, I dont see anything like that happening again.

If the Broncos do draft Newton, I could see the opposite happen...alot of people losing interest in the team and not coming around much anymore.

I have a couple of deadlines friday morning, so I'll be working with the draft on in the background. I'll make sure to stop by here to get in on the action.

I will not be doing century club again like 2 years ago (ended badly). Last year i was in the car. Just got back from a road trip right after Thomas was selected, we had it on the radio. I kept joking to my coworkers that I was going to jump out on to the freeway if we had went Tebow. It took me 15 min to get settled and discover the horror. This year a few beers which could turn into many beers depending on where we go at #2.

Stupid NFL and Thursday night draft, I miss having some guys over for the draft, ribs and beer. Probably couldn't do much with the 3 week old this year anyways, but I'll be watching alone, probably won't make it to the end of the 1st round, so it's good that we choose 2nd - I'll have to find out about any jumping back into the first round on Friday morning.

Then a hour and 1/2 nap, cup of coffee, making sure all knives and hard objects are out of reach, paper bag in case of hyperventilation should Newton or Green be the pick, a shot of Petron' for a good first pick, cell phone close by so that I can call my son in law and laugh at the Raiders pick.

Was stoked when the wife decided to go home and visit her parents in Ohio this week...but was not so stoked to learn she's flying out on Thursday from DIA with a 7PM departure.

How do I ask her kindly if I can drop her off 30 minutes earlier than need be to get back home in time for the draft?

Tell her because of the new random cavity search regulations you now must be an additional 30 minutes early due to the expected delays.

I will watch it if at home but I think I have little league practice during the first round. That is what the smart phone is for. To throw a party, a tad too much. I used to stay up late on Friday night, and do a last minute mock draft. Then I'd wake up early on Saturday excited like Christmas morning, and watch all the pregame. When the draft would start, I'd be in the OMane chat room, and on the forum, I'd have windows open to NFL network, ESPN, etc. And I spent the entire day following every minute, with breaks for making hot wings, and refilling the Pepsi (or beers).

Now, Saturday is like any other day. Nothing special about it.

I hate this new format. It's weak.
