Overall I love this schedule but am just amazed at finally getting an opening day home game, in a season where they may not be a week 1. I would say this would just be Denvers luck but I really believe Denvers luck is going to turn around this year. Get the CBA done boys!

Detroit was improved last year. Two games with two attrocious calls. They looked very good last year, comparatively.

I actually like this schedule a lot. I Hope they get to play the first two games and get the CBA done.

We get a lot of the tougher non division games at home, which MAY be a good thing if we can actually develope a Home advantage again.
NO KC away in Dec.
Jets and NE Here.
Minnesota is road but in a dome.
No Baltimore but Green Bay.
No Miami in September

I thought we had the LAST place schedule?

We generally lose to Miami (except the playoffs ;D) and we generally beat NE. I would love to see a new Bronco team beat Miami and some of the old Broncos as they beat NE and make Belichick scowl and Brady pout. Love it!

This off season is just sad, damn you players and owners! The day the schedule comes out, it's 7:18 at night and only 2 pages. Sad.

They choose those games from week to week. They arent set in stone. It being in the afternoon increases the likelihood that it gets play because it is put up against fewer games, but its not for sure.

Play all the games on Saturday. No games until Sunday night on Sunday, not even featured afternoon games. What is even the logic on that?

Same thing in 2005....Don't feel like looking up farther than that.

But I agree with you...If Christmas falls on Sunday. Schedule two prime time games on Christmas eve and play the full schedule as normal on Christmas Sunday.

I think that's why the NBA games on Christmas got so big. The NFL schedules around it so the NBA swooped in and made it one of their marquee days.

If Christmas is on a Sunday, the odds are pretty good that a significant portion of the football-watching populace will be at church.

So? I'm at Church most NFL Sundays and don't miss games.

And while I agree with you that a lot of people only step foot in Church on Christmas & Easter.....That has nothing to do with why the NFL schedules around Christmas day Sunday games.

If it did they wouldn't have Christmas Eve games either. I'd be willing to bet that more Christians and even casual Church goers attend Christmas Eve services more than they do Christmas morning. In fact, many churches and denominations don't even have Christmas services if it falls on a Sunday.

I must really be a homer, because I am loving this schedule. (Homer analysis to follow)

1 Mon. Sept. 12 OAKLAND (W: Starting the season at home against our most hated rival...on MNF...please see Youtube video at the end of this post)
2 Sun. Sept. 18 CINCINNATI (W: These guys suck and never live up to their offensive "potential")
3 Sun. Sept. 25 at Tennessee (W: Outside of Chris Johnson who was contained pretty well last year, and a decent defense, they're not too scary)
4 Sun. Oct. 2 at Green Bay (L: O.K...this could be tough)
5 Sun. Oct. 9 SAN DIEGO (W: First half of the season when SD is busy sitting, spinning with their thumbs up their asses, digging a hole in the AFCW)
6 BYE
7 Sun. Oct. 23 at Miami (W: The Wildcat is old, and they still have no real QB)
8 Sun. Oct. 30 DETROIT (W: Sure they're "improved", but they're also still DETROIT)
9 Sun. Nov. 6 at Oakland (W: Avenging last year's sweep with wholehearted FURY...we destroy the Faid in front of the most ridiculous fanbase in the NFL)
10 Sun. Nov. 13 at Kansas City (L: Ahh...a game vs. KC NOT in December. But we still lose because I feel a season-split vs. the Mullets)
11 Thu. Nov. 17 N.Y. JETS (W: We should've defeated them last year, and this time around, we're going to get it done!)
12 Sun. Nov. 27 at San Diego (L: History is against us as SD is performing its late-season charge)
13 Sun. Dec. 4 at Minnesota (W: OMG Minnesota in December?? But it's soooo cold!! Er...and...it's in a dome. Plus they have the wonder-twin combo of Tavaris Jackson and Patrick Ramsey at the QB position. Peterson is a god, but their 6 wins last year do not scare me)
14 Sun. Dec. 11 CHICAGO (W: Jay ****ler in front of his old crowd, leading the most mediocre offense in the NFL while he puts on his best "whatever, I don't care, what do you want me to do about it" face. Gimme a break, for once the Bears D will not bail out the turnover machine)
15 Sun. Dec. 18 NEW ENGLAND (L: I know it's at home, against the Pats who we supposedly own, but it's just not gonna happen this time)
16 Sat. Dec. 24 at Buffalo (W: Do you really think I give a **** that this is a cold-weather game? We play at home in DENVER, CO! Oh, and the best reason we win this game? The Bills suck taint! I mean come on!)
17 Sun. Jan. 1 KANSAS CITY (W: The latter-half of our season-split with the Chefs, at home, and it's a W. A fantastic way to end both of our seasons and send Haley packing. Maybe he'll replace McD as the Rams' O.C.)

(Record: 12-4)
