The adviser said he believes as many as 10 percent of the nearly 1,800 players in the league have secured some form of lending at this point, and estimates at least another 20 percent are in the process of securing lending now. Based on conversations he has had with other leading figures in the industry, he believes close to half of the players in the NFL will secure some form of lending if the lockout continues past Labor Day.

Pretty much. When people get big checks they forget that at some point the money may dry up.

You should go talk to management. I don't think phone numbers are going to pay the bills. Best your going to get are numbers to change to so the bill collectors can't find you.

Like I said, the players don't win this injunction, the owners will literally grind them into dust.

bull****.

nobody needs a mansion, nobody needs double digit amounts of cars, nobody needs an entourage, nobody needs bling, everyone knows to wrap their dick up when they bone random strange.

these players are idiots. it is why i am on the owners side in these meetings. i still say the owners simply need to wait out the players, and let them come crawling back and then shove a ****ty CBA down their throats.

i don't know man. i can honestly say i would probably be the most boring rich man on the planet. i would make sure my bills are paid off, move into a nice house(nothing gaudy and ridiculous) have 3 cars, a nice dependable every day car, an SUV because I live in Colorado and want to have fun in the mountains, and my dream car a 1967 Camaro SS.

outside of that, my money would be in banks, and accruing interest.

300 to 800K a year? more than enough for me. Im like you. Have a decent house, bills paid for, nice car. a couple of toys, ie: bike, boat, etc... Then with the rest of my money, travel the world. experience what life has to offer.
