Sassy posted some pics on facebook. I think there are towns that are basically gone from the last few years of flooding. Good luck to them.

The river in Fargo/Moorhead has already crested. Unless it goes crazy with rain, we got lucky this year.

I live about 45 min from Mapleton, IA that little town that was basically wiped out. Saturday night we had golf ball size hail at my house and the tornado sirens were going off,but we were lucky the we didn't have any tornado's touch down around us.
Here's an article from the local newspaper:

Yep. I live in the most economically sound state in America. I'm a Dakota Boy.
From what I understand N Dakota has a state bank -- one reason for the solid economy.
The nation could take a lesson -- abolish the fed -- a vampire on our nation -- and set up state banks to insure sustained long term economic prosperity.
death to the fed!
Always trade offs of course.....

Built a Safeway Store in Spearfish South Dakota years ago and was totally impressed with the Dakotas. Moved there during the job. caught trout under the main street bridge, counted 100's of deer each day, dynomite place.

True story: The last time I flew out to Denver, the guy sitting next to me on the plane tried to convince me that the Mississippi River was actually Great Salt Lake. I'm guessing he didn't major in Geography.
