Having some fun on the beach in our new toy. Awhile back I posted pictures of my project truck here are some shots if you want to check it in action. Sorry about the size I'm not sure how to make them smaller. Feel free to do this if any of you know how.

Yep there are three beaches here in Oregon that you can drive on. It's pretty sweet. 65 mph is like your floating on clouds.

This on is Bob Straud state park. It's at Pacific City Oregon.

Well, have fun with that. I can't wait to get OUT.

Love the West, and cannot wait to get back. It will come soon enough.

There's not too much nice I can say about florida. Yeah, you could say I'm a little jaded... ;D

Grew up in Colorado, and miss the west, the mountains and the clean air.

If you want to go somewhere laid back, go to Berkeley or Santa Cruz, CA. Austin, TX is pretty awesome too.

Texas is extremely diverse in terms of ecology. There is plenty of open fresh air. If you lived outside of Austin, you'd be plenty happy if you enjoy the outdoors.

The only problem is that it is very hot in the summer.

But in terms of culture, outdoors activity, taxes, work, etc, its tough to beat Texas. If we had the weather of San Francisco, I'd never want to leave.

I was actually talking about the humidity in the air. You can taste it. I have been to huston a few times and Austin and Dallas once. Every time there as soon as you get out of the airport it's so hot and muggy you can taste the air.

Not saying its not for everyone its just not for me. Besides it's the home of the cowboys Yuck.

Wow, those pictures bring back good memories for me. The first truck I owned was an 02' Tacoma. I had it on the beach in Lincoln City and got stuck momentarily in a small sink hole. I had to engage the rear differential lock to get out. That truck was a "4byin' machine!"

I love the little (Toys) I have put a lot of work into that one. ASB air lockers, 300 excel ignition system (3.4l), 2 1/2 lift 285/75r16 BFG KM2's a bitchen stereo system Alpine deck, kicker 750.1 amp pushing 2 10" phoenix gold Pro subs, 4 6.5" kickers voice speakers and a 900 watt phoenix gold amp pushing those. All in all I am really liking the truck.

My tranny heated up pretty good on the beach though so I am going to need to put a transmission cooler in it for sure.

I'm as much from the Louisiana delta and Oklahoma as I am from Texas. But as far as outdoorsy stuff and diversity around all corners of the state, Texas is one of best places to be in the country.

It has a 750 hp 401 titanium front and rear end, same with the T-case. ASB air lockers 4 speed 35" goodyear MT/R's. Straight up hair raiser. It will pass the 50 dollar bill test and it will put you in places that you don't really want to go. I have been working on it for the last 10 years. MONEY PIT !!!

I've built a motor or two in my time. 300 accel ignition system, bored 50 over, 3" lifter barry grant carb., hooker headers, high rise crane cam ,everything is port and polished and a few other goodies :~ohyah!: If you look at the mud in that photo it's about 40 feet high. My current rig is a 79 Bronco but I am looking for something between my bikes and that for terrorizing the wildlife.

The Polaris Rzrs are cool but just a toy and will only seat 2 people (bucket seats). I looked at both and I could justify buying the ranger because I can also use it around the property for chores (it has a dump bed). The Ranger will seat three in the front and you can throw a few kids in the back. It still runs up to 50 mph and that is fast in something this small. Also if you’re a big guy like me the Rzr is a tight fit no leg room. I also looked at the Kawasaki Mules but top end is about 25 mph. They need to make these street legal for back county roads they are safer than a dirt bike.

The winch is rated at 4500 lbs. It has rollers where it pulls from, if you need a side pull, and one at the bottom which you can go back underneath the Polaris if needed. They only thing I dont like, is the winch control is mounted on backside of shifter. Its a rocker switch. So when you go to reach for the gear selector to drop in low , N, or R, sometimes I will bump the switch and winch feeds out, or tries to pull in. I may disconnect it and put it on panel with other switches. Or disconnect completely, because it comes with a remote control, that plugs in below park brake and has 6 foot cable, so you can stand away from it while winching.

They sell one that plugs into a receiver that you can use for front or back. An after market.

My trailer is identical to yours, and I just had half of the end gate cut off and redone. It was a heavy mf. There's still enough ramp left , esp. polaris doesnt need much anyways.

Nice truck. Lose the chome bumper and brush guard and replace with black to match the wheels. Lose the turtle and lizard stickers also and replace with Broncos sticker. And if you get a winch, I would replace standard line with heavy duty winch rope, won't rust or bind and is lighter.

The lizard and turtles sticker were put on in protest. I like the little bit of chrome. My wife is not a broncos fan because it consumes all my time and she also feels they are all a bunch of pansies these days.
