Denver Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil(notes) is no longer in trouble with the law.
All charges have been dismissed against Dumervil, including an allegation of assault and disturbing the peace, according to the Denver Post.
The case stemmed from Dumervil allegedly getting into an altercation with a parking lot attendant before the Broncos' October home game against the Oakland Raiders when the NFL player was refused entry to a parking lot when he didn't have his credential.
"He never should have been charged in the first place,” attorney Harvey Steinberg told the Post. “And the press coverage should be the same now that his case has been dismissed as when he was charged."
Considering that the NFL is in the middle of a lockout, the dismissal is likely to generate a few headlines.
