View Full Version : Why Healthcare is Broken and How Republicans are Going to Make It Worse
Excellent Op-Ed piece in the NY Times this morning and before you get all up in arms about "what do you expect from the liberal media" look at who wrote it and ask why she would bother if even she didn't see how ****ed up it is. Republican dismantlement only will make it worse.
You know what Americans want from health care? They want access to it at an affordable rate, not at this "let the free market" decide BS that is spouted by conservative ignorance with yearly 20% increases. Enjoy.

I don't think anyone doubted there needed to be a change in healthcare. But the MAJORITY of America didn't want what they were providing and thought that it was a ****ing retarded time to revolutionize healthcare, especially when there were so many other problems

Are they tinkering with it? Yeah...they're hurting it.
Are they tinkering with it? Yeah...they're hurting it.
They are too selfless, and concerned with the strength of our country to do anything that would weaken us.
We have the number one economy in the world because we let our rich take care of us.

Yes, yes, yes, some bureaucrat deciding what level of care I can get is much better than anything else!

Actually I just thought it was a good opportunity to post a picture that has always made me laugh. One of my favorites, but I don't get to post it too often. That's all.
You're the one who seems to be coming off a little too feminine here. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :ouwknow:

I'd say for the most part no one wants to hear anyone else's drivvel in that forum either. Grow a sense of humor pony girl.

What medical insurance plan (other than paying 100% yourself) doesn't have some bureaucrat deciding what level of care we get?

The article in the OP just points out the blatantly obvious to anyone paying attention: The current health are situation does not work and will never work as a for-profit venture.
Providing medical care to people who are actually sick and need it is not a profitable business model. The insurance companies make profit by only insuring people who aren't sick

Then your issue is with doctors and hospitals... not insurance companies.

You didn't read the article did you. She was denied coverage by the insurance companies, not doctors and hospitals.
See this is what happens when the education system breaks down, people lose the ability to read and think critically.
What dos this thread have to do with Jay Cutler and why is it on the main page?

As the article exposes, the only way to make reasonably sure you can buy health insurance and won't get dropped is to make sure you never seek treatment for anything. As soon as you seek treatment for something, you are probably going to get blacklisted by insurance companies. The lady in the article apparently got denied because she had a doctor tell her she might need an optional and extremely minor procedure done to remove a corn.
She was denied health insurance because she had a corn. The insurance system is completely broken.

Bronconstein has you covered here, he told me I could blow it out my a$$ for posting it here. Off season mode obviously means nothing to you purists. Hilarious!
