the engineering is spectacular... the usefulness is well... there isn't any usefulness

Cool designs, but I don't know if we need more plastic on beaches.

These people that are into building things need to start focusing on something more productive, like hooker robots.

Come on you walk on a beach and see this thing? It's cool. It has a life of its own. It's a piece of art.

It's art. I think you're just supposed to appreciate it. I did.

Cool, and nifty, but one thing I will absolutely disagree with is how he and others call these things living creatures/animals.
No, just stop right there folks.

Now you're thinking.

At least his latest creation has "boobies."

What a loser building something incredible with his bare hands!

He should be tweeting about snookie's hair and how fat Chloe Kardashian is.

I think they're encouraging imagination. This isn't scientific.

very cool ...and uttely useless. and they won't "Live on" on the beaches or anywhere since they can't fulfill 1 main tenet for life...ability to reproduce themselves.

Still its pretty amazing he was able to get that much movement and such out of Pvc pipes and plastic sheets.
I wonder if he applies his intelligence to REAL work? Should have several patents
in something ( mech engineering?)

Why does he keep talking about how he's "created new forms of life?" It's a cool thing to watch - I'll give him that. But calling it a new form of life seems a little pretentious and odd.

It's really windy here today, and I just noticed there's a shopping bag caught in one of our trees. But it's not really a shopping bag. It's a beautiful new form of life.

Coo coo! Coo coo!

Just to reiterate I'd like to think he's playing with the fantasy of it being a living thing.

When I was in JR high a "light breeze would spring me to life" also.

I have an Arduino Uno on order I can't wait to blink my 1st LED with my daughter. I want to get into the Zigbee wireless stuff also. There are some amazing stuff you can do with boards these days, I was surprised that he was able to do his with wind and PVC.

Fascinating.

Its rare that you see art that well conceptualized that is original.

Its too bad that some punk brats will probably destroy every one that he creates. "Watch this, Sven...I'm going to kick that stupid thing in the nuts!

Either that or its going to run someone over and he'll get sued.
